This might've already been addressed here, but im too lazy and my internet is too slow to go look for another thread on it...but why in the name of all that is good are they making that "Cavemen" show? I mean those goddamn Geico commercials were only somewhat funny (enough) for a while, but now they're just stupid and irritating.

...And now they plan to stretch this into a whole series? why? I mean, I know theyre just trying to fill space and all, but I'd think they'd be able to do better than this...

so, thoughts?

I predict it'll be cancelled after just four episodes...maybe less.

this just speaks to the unoriginality of hollywood. they ran out of original movies ideas, so they started making remakes and sequels. they ran out of books to make into movies, so they started doing comic books. they ran out of movies to remake, so they started making tv shows into movies. they ran out of original tv shows to make so they started making remakes of thirty year old tv shows and reality shows. they made too many reality shows, so they came up with one new idea (lost), which then spawned fifty copycats. now they ran out of shows to remake and they're starting to make commercials into tv shows. it sucks to say, because i work in the entertainment industry, but i hope everyone out here goes broke and people with new ideas step up to the plate. fuck, do we REALLY need three more spider-man movies? i mean, come on.

when i first got here, i interned for a production house that solely did remakes, sequels and reality tv shows. it was disgusting. they also hired as many non-union workers as they could, which just goes to show that they're not in it to make quality pictures, they're in it to make a quality paycheck for themselves.

Very much so. I'll bet before long they'll revive the character of the Taco Bell Chihuahua and make a movie out of him...next we'll see Ronald McDonald and the Burger King star in their own film haha...

but yes, I agree, three more Spider Man movies is plain excessive. espically when the 3rd one was really so-so itself.

and I dunno about this new Indiana Jones movie they're working on...could be crap, but might be good. But Terminator 4? just plain no on that one.

thats not necessarily running out of originality its just the studios being greedy. rather than risk a loss they take the sure thing. no matter how long its been people will go to see a new Indiana Jones, a new Rambo or whatever sequel is coming out, no matter how rediculous it might seem due to the time between movies, Rocky Balboa is a prime example of this. i just hope this horror movie trend doesn't continue , because i really don't want to see friday the 13th and nightmare of elm st get butchered more than the later sequels already did.

oh, wow. i didn't even hear about this show. it sounds horrible.
but i have to say, i love that song in the background of one of those cavement commercials. he's in the airport standing on the moving thing. pretty vague description but you get the jist.
