In the long run of things, Marvel by FAR.

Though right now, Marvel isn't doing so hot (Astonishing X-Men does not live up to it's hype AT ALL).
DC has Grant Morrison(creator of New X-Men, best comic book ever under his run) writing Batman right now, and that is fucking bad ass.

But I voted Marvel, cuz I'm a sucker for the X-Men.

Did you read the original V for Vendetta? The dialogue and story is almost exactly the same as the movie. The fact that it has parallels to what some call Bush propaganda is just a connection people made to create controversy.
