Mr. Finny is one of my favorite characters of all time.
So is Eric Mathews.
Definitely Boy Meets World.

the HUGE similarity with these two shows is that the older brother of the main character steal the whole show
with Wonder Years you had Wayne "Butthead" Arnold
with Boy Meets World you had Eric Matthews
both shows are great. i hope they make it onto dvd one day

The Wonder Years does it for me. Easily Top 3 in my favorite TV shows of all time. Boy Meets World is in my Top 10 though.

As much as I absolutely adore both shows, I went with Wonder Years. BMW got a little too outlandish towards the end.

This is the hardest question I've ever been asked...I had to go BMW

True that this question is going to be hugely era-biased... older choosing Wonder Years and younger choosing Boy Meets World. Also, Boys Meets World is still syndicated on a few channels while I haven't seen Wonder Years forever... I have to say that although I'm part of that Boy Meets World era, I'd have to go with Wonder Years. Better subject matter, "realer" characters, and I like the overall feel of the show a little bit more as well.

this is appalling!
is there maybe just that much of a generation gap between boy meets world and the wonder years(of course i dont mean from when the wonder years takes place)
but this really should be no contest. the wonder years was a milestone in television, its one of the most honest, brilliant shows about growing up, adolesence and i mean its narrated by daniel stern! boy meets world was great when i was younger, but i've gone back and have watched both shows as i have aged and the wonder years stands the test of time, stays true, and even brings me back to a simpler time, though i would never go through it again haha. boy meets world like most of the old tgif shows are terrible, pooly written and acted, though still fun to watch from time to time when feeling nostalgic. though i'm ready for perfect strangers to come out on dvd

The Wonder Years pwns Boy Meets World. I liked BMW too, but not nearly as much.

wonder years had great music too...the theme song was "With A Little Help From My Friends" (Joe Cocker Version which is way better than the Beatles original version). They also played Beach Boys, Van Morrison, and Crosby,Stills, and Nash on different episodes. Plus....The 60s>The 90s.

the only way to get wonder years on dvd is from bootleggers, you can get pretty good quality too, if they recorded them right from abc family a few years ago and every episode. but wonderyears may never ever get released on dvd because there is really no way they can secure all the rights to the music used on the show

Hahaha BUTTHEAD!
No, I do in my picture on here, for sure - but if you saw me in real life, you'd understand. It's a joke in my family, because especially when I was younger, I really did look like Kevin Arnold.

The Wonder Years seemed to relate more to me, it seemed like it was more real in my opinion. But I can see how people would say Boy Meets World is better, because it doesn't seem as though the Wonder Years is as popular.

The Wonder Years is on ION Television now (it's a new basic cable chanel that plays older shows) at 10 p.m EST.
I went with the Wonder Years, though I do like both shows equaly. But I can agree with what was said, Boy Meets World had some episodes that were a bit too rediculous.
