Last night at the Tooth & Nail Tour (http://www.absolutepunk.net/toothandnailtour), Mike from MxPx (http://www.absolutepunk.net/mxpx) announced that their drummer Yuri would not be with them on this tour as he and his wife had just had a child. Congratulations to Yuri!

this is my first post ever, i am too old for this site (24) but i just have to ask...

anyone know who is filling in for him?

since this is probably my last post ever... thanks everyone at AP for keeping me up to date on so many different types/genres/styles of music, it keeps me informed and enjoying the music world.

The struggle is in our hearts, it's in our hands
So whom do we really serve
What can we trust, what have we planned
Firmly fix your heart, your mind will follow
Everlonging, ever lasting
The truth is sometimes hard to swallow

This has been announced a long time time, I think like early May. It is Chris Wilson who is filling in, from the Summer Obsession/Ex-drummer of Good Charlotte. Nice guy.

yeah chris wilson (ex-GC/TSO) is filling in but he had prior engagements with TSO for a few dates-including the show I went to on the 11th in Tulsa. their bus driver filled in instead. mike said that night that yuri's wife had already had the baby.

oh a random note, my friend john found yuri's baby registry at target & bought him baby socks.

legit. chris is a friend of mine and had to learn a ridiiiculous amount of songs for tour. he's known about it for at least a month and a half.

i am happy for yuri! it would be a great feeling to be a dad for the first time... anyone else a little bit sad that it's their first "tooth and nail tour" since they're back on the label and it's not all the original guys though? i was a little sad at the news, but it's all good cuz yuri's a daddy!

hopefully the baby won't look like him. haha. but seriously. congrats to him. the man is a legend in his own right. and i'm sure he'll make and excellent father. if his kid gets his fathers genes, everyone should look out for an amazing little drummer in about 12-15 years.
