Cake B-Sides and Rarities Tracklisting

Cake (http://www.myspace.com/cake) will be releasing a b-sides album entitled B-Sides and Rarities on August 14th (http://www.absolutepunk.net/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=3068&day=2007-8-14) through Upbeat Records. That's the most normal sounding album title that Cake has ever released. Strange.

I've had this disc for a while now because it was leaked on file sharing networks. I'm a huge Cake fan, but this isn't worth buying. There isn't enough here to justify the cost. Three songs are basically instrumentals, two songs are demos of songs from earlier albums, one is a live version of the first song on the album. I would download the few songs here worth having and save your money for their live album when that's released. If you search the internet, you can probably find most of the good songs from this disc free as mp3's on various music blogs, etc. I know I've seen them.
