Posts like this is are so stupid. They're good for nothing but arguing about everyones opinion...do everyone a favor and never post anything like this again. Im almost positive that 98% of the people on this message board could really care less what your favorite bands are.

The old stuff is what I grew up on, and it's what kept me into rock even when I was a far bigger fan of hip hop. These days though, the four classic bands wouldn't be amongst my top 5 favorites, but all-time was the key.

I jumped from Rap to Nu metal, Rage and Incubus... haha. I listened to Zeppelin, Floyd, and all that after I began listening to what I listen to now. I have much respect for a lot of bands that I just am not into though.

I started with Nirvana, and they crossed my mind for the fifth spot, but Jimmy Eat World's meant more to my life over the years.
Then I got into hip hop circa '94-'95, and I listened to that pretty much exclusively until around 2000. The only rock I really liked was the classics that I listed, and some others. Then in 2000, Rage Against the Machine was what shifted my tastes, and eventually I got into what I like now.

Mine was a slow evolution, what got everything geared toward my tastes now is Weezer and New Found Glory. If not for them I would have never known Anathallo, Sufjan, and Rocky Votolato. it was a long road inbetween, but I've come a ways.

The two bands I credit most for where I am now are Blink 182 and Midtown. Blink 182 were popular, and then Midtown got me into the lesser known stuff. Midtown also crossed my mind for that fifth spot because Save The World is my favorite album, ever. Clarity's right behind it though, and the rest of JEW's library is better.

I've never heard a bad album by JEW. Static Prevails is probably my least favorite, but I still enjoy it quite a bit.
and yeah, I should credit Blink a little, but I never was that into them, all I heard was Enema and the one after that. Dude Ranch and Self-Titled are solid though.
