Sorry to burst your Neo-con Bubble of Ignorance and Illiteracy, but Orwell's Animal Farm was a satire of communism. It showed how the Pollit (sp?) Beuareau claimed to be promoting equality, but lived much better then the rest of the people ("all animals are equal but some are more equal than others"). Maybe you should actually watch the movie (or better yet, read the book) before you make ajudgement.

Anyway, my favorite movies are:

Star Wars (the origianl ones)
The Muppet Movie
Dogma
Fight Club
SLC Punk
The French Connection
Adaption
To Kill a Mockingbird (good book too)
The Silence of the Lambs

Have any of you (besides Zach) seen High Fidelity? Seriously?! How is it not on everyone's list? I insist you all go rent it (or hell, download it) now.

I read the book when it first came out, but haven't seen the movie.

The book was excellent, and though it sounds trite, I felt as though I could have written it myself. It hit close to home on every point.

You will love the movie. It's the story of my life...if I were male and owned my own record store and smoked a lot. At any rate, you *must* see this movie. It's easily John Cusack's best work. And this might be hard to believe, but Jack Black is actually *funny* in this movie. :::nods:::

I'm always wary of watching the movie version of books I've read, but your opinion carries alot of weight, so I'm in the process of downloading it.

When it comes to movies, it's all comedy and drama, and I myself am a big Tom Hanks fan...so I would have to say Forest Gump, no matter how many times people laugh when I say it, I love that movie.
