poison the well is not the best hardcore band, they might be the most mainstream and NU, but they are not the best, i cant really choose, becuase there are so many kinds of hardcore out there, alot of which could be called metalcore, as far as my fav metalcore it is undying, and favorite hardcore or melodic hardcore beloved
