Head to replies to read an update from Riot Act Media regarding the status of Maritime (http://www.myspace.com/maritimesongs).

"Maritime are currently prepping for their follow up to We, The Vehicles [Flameshovel] and we are proud to have them back on the roster-but it's not like they ever really left-the band did however have three babies and a few wedding in the last year, but as their kids learn to crawl the band has diligently been working on new material that promises to be another classic record from these Promise Ring alumni. More news shortly."

So stoked to hear about that. Milwaukee's got a good band back on it's side. We've got a few bands coming up too, hopefully if someone breaks out soon, we'll get more.

Couldn't agree more. I'm surprised "Calm" didn't get them more attention, hell all of We, The Vehicles is fucking solid. Great live band too.

They're playing in Chicago for free (I think) at Schubas on 6/18 and then again at the Wicker Park Summerfest on 7/28. These guys rule.

There are a lot of bands I left off. The Response, Red Letter Diaries, as well as a lot of others are good too. I pretty much threw up a few friends that have a lot of promise, and then just some stuff I'm currently into.

maritime is amazing live. they put on a clean, fun show. they just enjoy what they do.

and as far as decibully, they are alright. i wasnt impressed with their live show or their recorded stuff, but it wasnt the worst.

yay wisconsin bands!!

if you want another good wisconsin band, check out windsor drive---they are down in texas now though, but originally wisconsin.

Shit how could I forget Terrior Bute? I love the Bute. I went to school with those dudes, and Henry and Ryan are the nicest guys in the world. And they put on one of the most killer shows ever.

well actually eric did drop out of the band after the european and japanese tours on the last record and was replaced by justin klug from decibully, who along with dan hinz now comprise the full maritime force.

Oh yeah dude. Freaking amazing. I saw them like last year with Headlights. There were like 10 people there. It was sad. But they are amazing and such sweet guys. Didn't one of the TPR guys play in Decibully for a bit or something?
