Ok this isn't what you think. I'm not looking for definitions of what is punk or emo or what not. So dont' worry.

What I am doing htough, is i'm gonna make a flier for a punk show i dj at the college I go to. To hopefully get some attention and listeners to the station.

What i'm wanting to do is put into the flier the different examples of punk. Its gonna be hand drawn so I want to do the best I can.

Now what i'm gonna do is simple: Take the main genres of punk and kinda show them on paper (ie Emo, ska, etc..) and *possibly* show them interacting with each other or some other silly shit. I'm not sure exactly what i'm gonna do with it art wise but I know the simple idea.

Now i've thought of the pretty basic ones: Emo, Ska, and just plain Punk. I'm not really interested in the thousands of sub-categories like screamo or grindcore or stuff like that. Just the main ones.

So I guess the question is: other then the 3 I listed did I really miss an important one? Other than Pop-punk...which i'm not sure just doens't fit into the 3 i listed.

Opinions?

Also: If wanted I can scan a copy of hte flier when I finish it and upload it somewhere if anybody would be interested in seeing it. But for now i'm just trying to finish the main idea :)

any help is appreciated

No, you guys have it all wrong. Emo comes from hardcore, so if he just wants main sub-genres of punk, then there's no point in naming anything else that comes from hardcore.

Punk
Hardcore Punk
Hardcore
Ska
Crust
Pop-Punk (it's still a type of punk music, the "pop" is just an adjective to tell which kind of punk)

That's all you need really.
