According (http://www.nme.com/news/ash/28918) to Timothy Wheeler, Ash (http://www.myspace.com/ashofficial)'s upcoming Twilight of the Innocents will be the last album they release via traditional means.

Wheeler added: "We've been one of the best singles bands of the last two decades and we're still younger than a lot of bands on the current scene."
Asshole.

In a way he's right. While the majority of their records have been full of filler, they're always good for the singles. I dunno I'm kinda sad about this news as I've pretty much grown up with Ash.

the songs are catchy, but the lyrics are terrible.

For the most part, I agree. They could use some work.

Fair point, they do tend to overuse the "title of the song repeated over and over for the chorus" formula too much. Their earlier lyrics are pretty terrible but they were only 16/17 at the time.
