Dear Friend:

Behold, the spineless Democrats.

On Iraq, they capitulate to George Bush.

On trade, they capitulate to George Bush.

On oil price gouging – they capitulate to George Bush.

And it’s not like we didn’t know this was coming.

In 2000 and 2004, we called out the corporate Democrats.

Their hypocrisy.

Their corporate connections.

Their disregard for the needs of the American people.

They finally say – get out of Iraq.

They then fund the war.

They say – protect worker rights.

They then agree to a trade bill that undermines workers.

They say – crack down on the oil company price gouging.

They then immolate their own bill to let the oil companies off the hook.

They even promised to end the “culture of corruption” but can’t control their
own.

In 2000 and 2004, Ralph Nader foresaw all of this.

And was vilified for it.

With lies.

And harassments.

That continue to this day.

Fully three years after the 2004 election campaign, the Democrats are still
coming after Ralph Nader.

Why?

Because he has demanded accountability for their duplicity.

Because he has told the truth as he saw it.

Because he has remained committed to public justice.

And has opposed corporate control over our government.

Six months ago, the acclaimed documentary film, An Unreasonable Man, was about
to open in theaters across the country.

This 2006 Sundance-selected movie documented the work of Ralph Nader – his
lifelong pursuit of justice – for consumers, workers, citizens, and the
environment.

And it documented the denunciation of Ralph Nader.

From the Democrats – featuring Eric Alterman (“the man needs to go away”), Todd
Gitlin (“borders on wicked”), and Jimmy Carter (“Ralph, go back to examining the
back end of automobiles”).

From his former supporters – Bill Maher, Susan Sarandon and Michael Moore.

In defense of Ralph?

You – our steadfast supporters.

An Unreasonable Man was widely praised in the media.

Later this month, An Unreasonable Man will be released on DVD.

A two-disc DVD loaded with 137 minutes of bonus features including a number of
unused scenes – Ralph’s dispute with the corporate-controlled Congressional
Black Caucus, his long fight against nuclear power, and the effect of the loss
of his older brother Shafeek.

The DVD package also includes a set of added features:

* Debating the Role of Third Parties in the United States

* What Kind of President Would Ralph Nader Be?

* Profile of a Charismatic Leader

* What Happened to the Democratic Party?

* Why the Right is Better Organized Than the Left, and

* Ralph Nader on the Iraq War.

When we wrote to you last, we called it “our last plea.”

That was premature and hopeful because, despite your generosity, we still have
not quite finished paying down the last portion of the 2004 debt.

So, for a donation of $200 to help eliminate the remaining campaign debt, we
will send you what we are calling our Unreasonable Package, 2007 edition.

It includes:

* The Special Two-Disc An Unreasonable Man with the movie, the unused scenes and
added features.

* A hard cover copy of the 319-page biography of Ralph – Nader: Crusader,
Spoiler, Icon by Justin Martin.

* A hard cover copy of the 400-page populist classic Democracy At Risk: Rescuing
Main Street from Wall Street by Jeff Gates.

* Ralph’s Revolt: The Case for Joining Nader’s Rebellion by Greg Bates

Please consider buying extra copies, to pass them on to young and old alike.

That’s the two DVD An Unreasonable Man collection.

Plus three books: Nader: Crusader, Spoiler, Icon, Democracy at Risk, and Ralph’s
Revolt: The Case for Joining Nader’s Rebellion.

All for a donation of $200 to our campaign.

It’s time to take a stand.

For the unreasonable man of the century.

Who has made such a difference in our lives.

Thank you for your own good work and support.

In solidarity,

Carol Miller, Peter Miguel Camejo, Greg Kafoury, Jan Pierce

Yay propaganda. I don't know much about Nader though, he may be a great guy. I'm uninformed. I'm ignorant. I'm young. I'll know stuff soon.

Watch An Unreasonable Man, it'll get you very informed. This Nader Team letter pumped me up so much. I wish it had been a spoken speech.

That's like learning history from a Michael Moore film. Biased as hell, haha. I'll do some research on my own time though. I like what I've heard about Nader so far.

Haha, fair enough, but I think Michael Moore's films have mostly been extremely biased and I found An Unreasonable Man to be extremely fair, using wild things like facts and Harvard studies to back up certain points. It's hard not to like Nader. He's never had a scandal or done anything remotely evil.

He did fine for having no money to do it. Here's something for your learning, you don't need that when in your last sentence.

It's easy for the Nader team to be critical of elected officials, especially since they've never won an election.

"Nader received some 97,000 votes in Florida. According to the Washington Post, exit polls there showed that "47 percent of Nader voters would have gone for Gore if it had been a two-man race, and only 21 percent for Bush," which would have given Gore a margin of some 24,000 votes over Bush."

Hmmm well that's under the infantile assumption that all people who voted for Nader would've voted for Gore if Nader hadn't run. However, a Harvard study completely disproves that theory. Do some research please.

While some individuals that voted for Nader may have otherwise voted for Gore, it remains that he actually did not cost Gore the election. Further, even if one is to assume that Nader was the reason Gore did not win, the blame still resides with him as a candidate that did not prove himself to the progressive audience.

I have always been extremely irked by the way that Nader's e-mails ALWAYS are formatted like that, sentence after sentence in a list format. ERRRRRGGGGGGG

Bloomberg's going to steal Naders shine this season. He won't be a spoiler like '92 and '00, but i think hes going to get alot of legitamet attention and support, something nader's never been capable of.
