we are set to a timer
tumbling over each other - without ever knowing each other
severely exposed to heat
it burns the light from our eyes
(add another part?)
it countsdown to zero- the buzzer goes of
a flash of light, the spinning stops
we are tossed aside, to be folded and shelved
another batch is locked inside
from the moment of birth
we are hanging on by a thread - split at each end
an unsteady pendulum
swinging above our heads
(another part again?)
no matter how careful and calloused our hands
we'll never remove that dangling blade
an unseen threat, that is always there
it's drop is at random yet inevitable
we live life without any thought of it
liiving it full of regret and sin
no ideas what is to come of it
