The Rise and Fall of the New York Jets

Last night was a hard night for me, I have never cursed more than I did last night (well I dont know, maybe last year when the Jets lost in the playoffs)......My savior as well as the Jets savior, Chad Pennington broke his wrist playing a stupid pre-season game against the Giants. I must say I was not thrilled, neither was the rest of the team or Jet fans. They say hes going to be out for 8 weeks, which means Vinny Testiverde will be replacing him. Do you think Vinny has got the talent and leadership skills to at least hold the Jets over till Chad is better? Do you think he can adapt his skills to the new Jets play book which includes the long ball game and throwing to Cherbet? All I can say is "God I hope so" or its going to be a long season/year for me.

im a die hard jets fan..and i too, cursed a lot....chad is our man..and he is out for at least 12 weeks...that sucks soo abd...now we have testeverde starting....i think the jets will still win the super bowl!!!!.....

you're far from a realist. The Jets didn't have what it takes to even reach the Super Bowl with Pennington. Now, without him, they're much, much farther from it. My prediction for the AFC East:

New England 12-4
Buffalo 11-5
Miami 9-7
NYJ 6-10

Mark my words.....at least one of those will be correct.:rolleyes:

You call him far from being a realist?! HA! BUFFALO 11-5!!!!???????
You have to be kidding me..... If anything its Miami who will pull out to be second, but barely make the playoffs at all, its just how it goes. Buffalo will always choke. I dont think the Jets will do extreemly well but I say they will at LEAST pull off 7-9 or 8-8.

Hearing that in Madden with the crowd all pumped up in the playoffs makes the game THAT much better.

BUFFALO will choke? Miami. December. end of story.

Buffalo's gonna be good this year. You know it was their defense that killed them and kept them out of games last year, and you know they upgraded big time with Posey, Spikes and Sam Adams. The defense will hold down the games they couldn't last year, and the offense will still be strong.
