a little late on this...baddelly is -2 under for the day through 8.

StuGrimson

Adam Scott is playing terrible, not too surprised though. I thought Mickelson was going to go low until he made that double then bogey. As long as Tiger doesnt win Ill be happy. I have money on Harrington, Goosen, Furyk and Stensen though so it would be good to see one of those guys.

i like stensen. swedes ftw.

if my norwegian grandma saw that i wrote that she'd probably kill me.

StuGrimson
06/15/07, 08:54 AM
Im all about the Europeans and the Aussies, they have way more personality then the boring as shit North American players. The Norwegians dont like the Swedes or what? I always thought the Finns and Swedes had the big rivalry.

06/15/07, 08:57 AM
well i told my grandma that i wanted to marry a swede and she had a shitfit.

american players are generally better ball-strikers than euros, its arguable about aussies though. aussies either hit the ball super high or super low.

Europeans wear better pants though

Today's scores are going to be downright ugly. I love it!

I think 2+ might be the lead after today. I've always been a fan of Ernie Els, so I'm hoping he can somehow keep it together and pull this off ..but I'd love to see Ogilvy go back-to-back.

LeftWideOpen
06/15/07, 09:07 AM
and somehow Paul Casey is 3 under after 2 holes? Damn.

06/15/07, 09:07 AM
great thing about the us open is it usually goes to the guy putting it right down the middle, and leaving himself with good two-putts.

StuGrimson
06/15/07, 09:08 AM
Casey has definately played more than 2 holes

StuGrimson
06/15/07, 09:11 AM
Mickelson is sure shitting the bed, its a damn shame

LeftWideOpen
06/15/07, 09:11 AM
yeah i read the leaderboard wrong .. it had the asterisk after *11 and it said a * meant a 10th hole tee-off, so i mistook that for 11 being the hole he just completed rather than the amount of holes he completed.

This guys are getting ripped apart out there right now and usually it gets tougher for the afternoon, Im thinking 2 over will definately at best be leading unless someone does somethign spectacular. Id love to see Els win too.

I work at a golf course and when I went in to get my paycheck, we were talking about how hard this course is. It's not too far from where I live, but I hear that the designer of the course didn't know the game of golf and just figured out what would be hard for golfers. I'd love to get my ass kicked by this course.

Paul Casey has really been fantastic today. He may end up w/ the lead, or at a least a share, at the end of the day.

I'm starting to think that +8 might win it. I think it'll definitely be higher than Ogilvy's +5 last year.

StuGrimson
06/15/07, 10:57 AM
Him and Baddeley have put themselves in good shape for sure. Baddely still has a couple holes left and you never know what could happen. Casey is -4 and nobody else is better than Even.

06/15/07, 11:03 AM
+8 won't win it, it will be something like +2 or +3. there's always a couple of freak shows that play lights out on the weekend.

StuGrimson
06/15/07, 11:06 AM
They said last year at 5pm Saturday was the last time a player was under par, this year I wouldnt be surprised if it was about 2pm today. I wont pick a score until I see how it plays tomorrow, that will be the big test. Id like to think it will be around 6 over.

i went, got my face in SI's leading off (tiger hitting a 4 iron out of the rough on hole #3). took a xanax and drank two beers too, which was probably a mistake in that heat.

Tiger is not going to branch out from the field, I dont think anyone is at least I hope not or it would make me not want to watch the rest of the tourny.

He's more of a goon to his own team, he takes so many dumb penalties that end up shooting his team in the foot

StuGrimson
06/15/07, 02:34 PM
That is true, just dont know if goon is the right word. He actually played well for the Leafs last year surprisingly enough.

so i believe Mickelson needs Cabrera to drop a stroke and fall to +1 in order to make the cut (10 stroke rule).

cabrera has been really impressive ..i dont think he can do this for 2 more rounds, though. Even though Woods is +4, when you look at the names ahead of him on the leaderboard ..you gotta think he'll be right in the mix this weekend.

StuGrimson
06/15/07, 04:06 PM
I hope Mickelson misses the cut, I hope Woods drops about 10 shots and I hope Johnny Miller gets hit by a bus.

I hope Mickelson misses the cut, I hope Woods drops about 10 shots and I hope Johnny Miller gets hit by a bus.

maybe it can all happen at once ..mickelson pulls his RV out of the parking lot tomorrow, Woods shanks his drive and breaks mickelson's window, causing mickelson to swerve and hit Miller on his way to visiting that prostitute he ordered in the backseat of his car.

and with that, i give you 13K. Crazy I've actually posted so much.
