I just picked up these records and here's what I think:

Bright Eyes - Lifted - I'm kind of disappointed by the sound, but I must say the lyrics are amazing. Magnifiscent writing!!!

Cursive - The Ugly Organ - AMAZING!!! I can't get enough of this record and how well the cello is incorporated. Great sound!

Jets To Brazil - Perfecting Loneliness - It's not as good as Cursive, but the lyrics are heartfelt and great as well. Solid record!

If you have any further recommendations, then please suggest them here. I'm always looking for new bands or releases from bands I've heard of that I should pick up.

PS - I couldn't find "Domestica" anywhere and I really want that album!!!

Next Up: HUM, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Orange Island, and any suggestions you may have.

If you liked Perfect lonliness, you'd probably like their first two cd's considering the lyrics aren't novel like in length........

-hey mercedes- everynight fireworks

-minus the bear- highly refined pirates (not the most profound lyrics around but the guitar work sure does make up for it)

-the thermals- more parts per million

-the new amsterdams- worse for the wear

yea and what julie said earlier, you should own Relationship of Command by ATDI....if you dont already have it.

-kind of like spitting- acoustic music, not dashboard like.

-q and not u- too hard to classify. it would fall under its own genre of indie rock i guess. great stuff though.

ETID- hardcore

kind of like spitting is acoustic/indie but as stated before... NOTHING LIKE DASHBOARD.

q and not u are like art rockers/indie with a little punk influence and catchy songs....alot of mods listen to them lol... they are awesome

every time i die are kindof harder than alot of the recommendations on this thread... if you like a static lullaby, from autumn to ashes, at the drive in, then you might like them
