Strength Behind Tears – Bridges Between Us
Label: Basement Records
Release Date: June 26, 2007
Who:
Orange County metalcore band with possibly the most emo name since Forever At Your Doorstep puts out debut on Baltimore-based, Basement Records (Stabbed In Back, Bullet Treatment).
How is it?:
For those who remember the question from a few years back concerning the wave of pop-punk bands directly inspired by the success of Blink 182, I give you an updated query: When will bands stop trying to be Underoath? The scream/sing schtick is getting old and certainly Bridges Between Us has nothing new to offer to the genre. But hey, they do have a pretty sweet preorder deal for this album, so if you’re into recycling (http://www.basementrecords.net/).
Just because you’ve got a throat and a black shirt doesn’t mean I'll go out with you, Johnny: “These Memories Never Fade”, “Decisions Made”
I go a long way for a joke, I know: Underoath, Poison The Well, Glassjaw
