I'm getting them junior year because....... I need them. I don't know why my parents never got them long ago. I hate the idea and i think that it's too late. I don't think there is a set age for too old though.

i got them in 5th grade and now i "need" them again because of my wisdom teeth coming in. so getting them when your older can be better.

I got them on over a year and a half ago, and I'm almost 18. (starting senior year) I just had them work on it a lot, so I would have them off fast. The last pieces come off Sept 15. I actually have my top retainer on now, but i only wear it at night.

If you're going into college, can't you just get that invisilign (sp?) stuff? I'm sure that would work for you. At least it looks good on the commercial.

i wanted invisalign but my orthodontist said no. she had people do it and then when they got it off go to normal braces cuz they werent happy with the results. but i dunno. plus i have a crossbite so it wouldnt fix that. haha i checked.

Im 21 and I never got braces...it sucks but we were poor. I wanna get them though eventually. How long do they usually have to stay on for...a year?

I don't think it's ever too late. My sister has them now, and she's 29. I'm 21, and if it's covered in my mum's dental insurence, i'm probally going to get them soon too. I mean, it's better than having scary retard looking teeth.
