Amazing band. I was about to make an official thread, but thought i'd search first, haha. I didn't see this from a couple of days ago.

I love the 4 new songs. The new album is going to be amazing. Welcome To Janesville is probably my fave out of the new 4. The world has sorely missed their brand of romantic pop-punk love songs. I hope they gain a lot more fans with their upcoming album.

And i hope it doesn't come out on Victory Records like their live CD/DVD did. I'm pretty sure i remember Josh saying that he didn't want it to.

And how would you guys describe them to someone that doesn't know them? The other day someone asked me, and i said they sound like 'Barenaked Ladies' meets 'Alkaline Trio', haha.

Smoking Popes are way cool though so of course they make you happy haha. also, both Bad Astronaut and Bayside's covers of "Megan" are sweet.

Can't get enough of that song...the Bayside version is solid as well, very similar vocals between the two bands.

For whatever reason, the Smoking Popes never made it on my radar until last year. I was listening to a radio show Chad and Jordan from NFG were hosting and they played "No More Smiles". Let's just say that was a good day.
