I feel so bad for Steve Carell

His movie is gonna bomb big time. Right now its at 24 percent on Rottentomatoes. It has very little buzz and stiff competition. The worst part is Evan Almighty is the most expensive comedy ever made, costing the studio over 100 million dollars. I hope Steve Carell can get through this rough patch cause he's a pretty cool guy.

I saw that today, every time Jessica Alba tried to look serious, like when she got stabbed, I would just laugh.

Well, I will say this... I laughed so much during ROTSS that it will be hard for ANY movie to top the comedy of that one. And by comedy, I mean poor dialogue, acting performances, and overall filmmaking.

Also...The movie was okay for a family comedy...my bet is it will do somewhere around the revenue of Night at The Museum.

And to clear the budget up it originally costed them 127 million but because of issues with the rain for the pre-flood scene and not to mention all the animals they ended up using and the feasts of food they fed the 600+ people daily for nearly 2 months and the extravagant marketing plan shot the costs up to nearly 250 million.....which is really sad because it won't even get halfway there...BIGGEST flop ever.

But hey I still got my t-shirt that says cast and crew of Evan Almighty (with the Ark Building for Dummies on the back)

It was... well... meh.

It's a family film. The whole plot is predictable and most of the scenes are cheesy. Carrell is alright and I think he was good for the role. Lorelai Gilmore did nothing for me. Morgan Freeman was Morgan Freeman. If you've seen Bruce Almighty, you've seen this movie. Some of the animal scenes were cool and made you wonder how long it took to train them. 2 out of 5 stars.

The drop off from Bruce Almighty compared to the drop off from SP2 is much greater, IMO. It was worth a viewing in theaters, but i'll never watch it again. Spiderman 3 was better.
