I was trying to put together 2 guitar sounds for myself one for lead one for rythym. Mix between Pennywise, BR and something that sounds metal let me know your thoughts
What I cureently use and settings
Lead
Epiphone les paul custom black beauty
mesa dual
trem=8
Bass=6
Mid= 6
drive= 7
Presence = 6
Output 9

Rythym
Crumby Jay turser remake gibson standard
Marshall Jcm 2000
trem=8
Bass=7
Mid= 3
drive= 7
Presence = 5
Output 9

No effects pedals. I still have a boss ds-1 and ph-2 in the closet. An Ibanez stomp and a couple of danoelectric pedals. I also have a zooom multi I never use.
Help me get better sound

By trem do you mean treb? As in treble? Or do you mean tremolo?

Umm...on channels 2 and 3 there are three modes:Raw, Vintage, or Modern.

And, there are no numbers on the mesa so when you say treb=8 are you saying 8 o'clock?

What do you find is missing in your sound exactly? It sounds like a decent setup you have.

If you own a Mesa, you should have a good understanding of what's a great tone. :-)

Get a 16 ohm THD Hot Plate and you will improve your tone drastically

I bought a box of rock recently and my solos have more sustain and power. Guess I solved my own problem.

if its for recording, then layer the tracks like 5 times with different levels, bass. terrble, etc and you'll get a beefier, fuller sound
