A friend of mine passed away 2 years ago now, as I remember. The guy was always a little strange, but we always got along well. Heck, we wanted to design a game together. Towards the end he got a bit stranger than usual. He would come up to me and ask about what Christians believe about death and stuff like that. Then he left me his PS1, saying it was mine if anything happened to him. If only I knew. My friend Wui Chung committed suicide during a December holiday. I was there at his cremation, and I remembered it as I watched my grandmother's worn face.

This song is called 'Requiem'.

Hello my friend, it's been a while
Since you left
The world became less colourful
I never realised
That losing a friend could hurt this much...

Chorus- But you're gone, but you're gone
And sometimes I wish you were here
But you're gone, but you're gone
Did you meet her on your way to the Sunless Lands

I remember so well the laughs that you gave
How you stuck with me through thick and thin, never again
And all I can give you is this requiem
That you'll be remembered

Chorus-But you're gone, but you're gone
And sometimes I wish you were here
But you're gone, but you're gone
Did you meet her on your way to the Sunless Lands

Breakdown-
it's too late for regrets, too late for regrets
I hope you're at peace
It's too late for regrets, too late for regrets
If I could've lived this life for you
It's too late for regrets, too late for regrets

Chorus- But you're gone, but you're gone
And sometimes I wish you were here
But you're gone, but you're gone
You've left us all too soon
But you're gone, but you're gone
And we miss you our friend
But you're gone, but you're gone
Did you meet her on your way to the Sunless Lands

i like it. however, i would be careful about too much repetition. keep in mind, i'm no song writer...i'm just giving a suggestion. ;-)

Thanks for the advice.... The repitition seems fine when you play it out since it goes by at mid-tempo, but I'll work on it a little harder.

it felt like it was a kinda slow moving song, which was a bit boring to me...but over all it is OK

Thanks to you too. It's not really slow, it's only slow at the verses while the chorus is mid-tempo.
