How come with every word I write,
You're my inspiration and my big regret.
We must have spent 8 hours in each others company,
I doubt 100 words crossed our lips.

So why do I still think of you,
I think you'd rather never met me.
Not that you care much, I wish you did,
Sorry I didn't turn out to be as cool a guy
As you spied out of the corner in your 9 to 5.

Fuck it i'm not sorry,
Honey you missed out on all the glory,
The coolest kid you'd ever know,
Pity you couldn't see past the show,
of the other guys and their modern contentions,
Baby i've got too many good qualities to mention.
This isn't conceit of lack of subltety
Just me telling you the things you'll never know.

awesome. at the beginning one might think that this poem is tragic, but the third stanza completely wastes that thought. you're not the only one who has felt like this. for sure. i totally get it. this is empowering.
