hey guys i have this situation maybe some of yall might have been in. my best friend was dating my friend who me and her grew up together and stuff and they broke up for a couple of months and on spring break she came out to me saying she had feeling for me which was awesome because ive always had feeling for her and stuff. well now its messed up because she like doesnt think its a good idea to talk anymore and stuff so now i dont know what to do. help me out of if u want me to go into the whole big story ill share it.
You should talk to her, if you are ready to give up your best friend in the process...

yeah, ur best friend might not take it too great, even if he doesn't want her anymore, it could still hurt him just knowing you 2 are together. trust me on that one, its a sucky feeling. but talk to him about it first. friends before everything. and then talk to her. if hes an ass about it, go for her in spite of him. it's fun.

Hey its got to suck being in your situation. I went out with my ex boyfriends best friend and he completely flipped out. Everything is ok now and they worked out their differences plus im not going out with either of them. But I think you should talk to your best friend about it first. If he still likes her and you ask her you guys will prob. never be as close friends. For me everything worked out in the end. So if you do end up going out with this girl and your friend gets mad, just see how things go and try to make the best of it, becuz everything might end up ok. Like it did for me.

well my friend moved away for college and i havent talked to him since so i cant tell him anything. but jeez!!! shes like driving me crazy. i cant stop thinking about her and stuff but we hardly talk anymore because school and stuff so if anyone can help please do!!

levelland! thats close to meee but anyway.. about the girl try to hang out with her on the weekends then. talk to your friend and see how he's doing. im sure he is meeting tons of people and girls if he left for college. i dont really see why he would hold a grudge over an ex girl if he doesn't even live there anymore

haha thats awesome that u live in lubbock. i really want to spend time with her but last month she said something about she didnt think it was a good idea to talk but i dont know why?? i see her at work when i go in and she says hi and stuff still kinda flirts but i dont know what to do. i dont want to call her and piss her off so im kinda waiting till i know it will be alright to call and stuff.

thats what im kinda doing. when i see her shes all happy and stuff saying hi and all i do is wave my hand and not say a word. and then yesterday she was like i didnt even do anything to you. i was like bull shit u did but i dont know. i still really really like her and its really driving me crazy.

If you ever decide to go out with her, then you should probably talk to your friend first. One of my friends (We'll call her A) went out with a guy named J last year, and then they broke up. Then J started dating B, a friend of mine and A's. Now A is jealous because she still sort of has feelings for J, and she really hates B for not talking to her before asking J out. Communication is really important in a situation like that.

yeah definitely make sure you talk to your friend first.
ive been on the "ex-boyfreind/friend" side before, and it sucks so much.
cuz you suddenly start hanging out, again, with a girl you broke up with....and it can definitely be awkward.
id say its easier not going out with her, but if its meant to be, it will happen.

I'm currently going out with my ex's best friend and when we started going out, there was hell to pay. Luckily we got it sorted out and my gf and ex are still best mates. my gf talke to her mate first about it, but it still caused a fuss.

It's always messy at the beginning, but if they are a close best friend, you can usually talk your way through it.

im going out with my friends ex boyfriend...but its not that much of a deal, but i can understand how it can be. if you would risk your best friend for a girl, then go ahead. but girlfriends and boyfriends dont always last, but real friends are always there for you. i dont think you would be to happy if this same thing happened to you...but if your friends alright with it...go for it.

i've been where you are..kind of.
i was dating this girl, and when we broke up, this girl and my best friend became really close. they both denied liking each other. they ended up going out for a couple months. at first i was hurt that my best friend would do that to me, but it was his life, and i was happy for him.
talk to your friend, and get his input on it.

Dont play hard to get. I am a chick, and it doesnt work for me. What I would suggest is acting like you are busy with your friends and you have a great life without her, but still make it known that you are interested. Be interested, but keep your options open. But definitely give your friend a call and talk to him. I agree with whomever said that you need to talk things out with your friend, not the girl.
