I didn't see any threads, etc. on the topic. What are the thoughts about this? I mean, I figure that it will go under, like all others have, but I'm curious to see how they will create the feeling of college football at the pro level. From what I've read so far, it looks like it will be a pretty weak attempt at doing so.

I can't see that happening. The current NFL system is set in stone I'd imagine. There would have to be a lot of money spent to cover the cost of players contracts that would come out of a revamped League format. Nice idea though.

I think that Arena Football is about as successful as another football organization could be here in the states. What helps it is the fact that it is drastically different from the NFL. This, while I would love to have that college football feel in the spring, just sound corny. Trying to keep players in the state that is home to their alma maters. Supposedly, the Florida team will wear blue and orange, the Tennessee team will wear orange and white, their plan is to basically have a reunion of sorts for those players that couldn't make it in the NFL. Players like Eric Crouch.

That would be pretty cool, i agree with you there. It would be great to see college players that fall away and never to play again [ i.e. after NFL drafts ] have a chance to test their ability against the present NFL rosters. I can't see it ever happening i'm afraid to say. Personally, I would love to see an appropriate league structure like that.

Wow i actually missed the link in your first post. I didnt think it was an actual possibility. I just checked out the site. I'd be a big fan of something like that. The Arena version is a great spectacle for fallen NFL hopefuls. I hope it takes off. Competition is healthy!
Is this the league Mark Cuban is involved with? There's no mention of him on the website.

As far as I know, it's not the league. And Mark Cuban being who he is, I imagine that his name would be plastered all over it if he was involved.
