yea, every team that's played in the AAC this year have had good/great seasons, and lost in their first game/round of the playoffs.

cant believe the desperados lost. they remind me a lot of the mavericks

it's not full of wash ups at all. most the players in the league never even played in the nfl. hell, most of them aren't even big time college names.

it's a league full of dudes who just love to play football and are jumping at the opportunity to do so.

i'm glad espn is airing the league again.

The Soul got smoked out. But I was watching the Crush-Sabercats game on Saturday. For a team that had lost 4 in a row (Crush) going against a team that had won 10 in a row, Colorado almost pulled that one out. Damien Harrell, I must say, is damn sick. Makes you wonder what a guy has to do to get a tryout or a minicamp invite from a NFL team.

yeah my bad, washups wasn't the right term. i'm not into the whole afl concept at all. i really wish espn could get something better than the afl on (i dunno what is going on with the nhl tv contracts, i hate versus) but you enjoy the afl playoffs :)

Fuck the Destroyers. More specifically, fuck Mark Hamister for being a little bitch.

Oh, you lost your bid for the Sabres so now you're going to pull your AFL team out of the city too? Real fucking mature. Blame bad attendance? Yeah, that's because you didn't put a quality team on the field. Ever.

you mean the XFL? haha. I miss the XFL.. so entertaining.

I do miss the Arena team we had here in Pensacola... the Barracuda's. AFL is actually kind of exciting to watch... I'm always waiting to see who's going to get slammed into the wall.

yeah can't blame you for that opinion.

then again, they've been awful at columbus most of the time and get great attendance?

I saw my first game this summer in Utah...It was pretty bad ass and entertaining, but some parts i found very funny (the starting introductions, ALOT of fire, cheerleaders in the endzones)...Was pretty sweet though

i'm guessing nobody is watching the playoffs, but i've thoroughly enjoyed watching some of the games this year.
Watching Columbus beat Dallas was pretty shocking, but seeing them lay the wood to Georgia was pretty shocking as well. I hope they win the championship.

i didnt get to see the end of the SJ-Chi game, but SJ was winning and i hope they won.

i'll def watch the Arena bowl this year, and actually know some of the players. ESPN puts on a great presentation, and i wish they had more than 1 regular season game a week on.

san jose vs. columbus in the final.

that's pretty crazy. columbus came out of nowhere. they're just hot at the right time. exactly how chicago was last year in the playoffs.

i wouldn't be surprised to see espn air more than one game a week next season. i think this season was more of a feeler to see what the game can do for the network, and i think it's actually doing ok. with a little more coverage and exposure next year, they could definitely make it worth their time and money.

i just got so stoked because mike and mike were supposed to be the voices of the league, but they called such a small amount of games.

FondestMemory

i'm shocked by that as well. dallas seems far and away better than everybody else in the league, but they keep coming up short when it matters.

i'd say this year's had to hurt far more than last year's though. no reason they shouldn't be champs this year.

there's apparently some disease spreading at the AAC to keep the best teams in the league from winning it all.

The thing with Buffalo is.....

if we wanted to see subpar, halfassed efforts at football teams, we'd just go see the Bills.

hahaha that's true. in columbus people are football hungry because of the buckeyes, and nice to have the destroyers in the offseason to go see.

i'm not going to lie, i miss having an AFL team now that the league has "hit it big" so to speak.

The way Hamister moved the team out definitely left a bitter taste in the mouth though

watching this game makes me even more fucking stoked for the opening monday night game that mike and mike will be calling. they do a pretty good job calling games. they'll be that much better with ditka joining them.

and columbus didn't realize the game was more than a quarter long. they need to get their shit together.

Who saw the black guy fighting with the blonde for a ball in the crowd? He gave up eventually but he looked to be really ripping at it for a few seconds there.
