View Full Version : I'm excited beyond words for college...
But not necessarily for the school I chose (York College of Pennsylvania).
My mind is going nuts. Lately I've just had the feeling lately that PA is NOT where I want to live for the next four years. I wanted a complete change of where I live now (a shitty unknown town in Maryland, overpopulated by rednecks) and unfortunately I just realized that the town of York is really no different.
Also, reading posts on Facebook by the people that currently attend the school show to me that the school really must let anybody in., haha.
Anybody else freaking out that is attending college in the fall?

well if you dont like it you can also switch schools next year. and what school in maryland do you want to go to instead?
im kind of freaking out... but im happy with my choice. i think im going to have a great time in college
There is no school in Maryland I'd rather go to (the shitty town I mentioned is the town I live in now, if that confused you for some reason).
I know I'm going to end up enjoying the school itself, it's really just the town that I'm scared will make me regret my choice of attending the college.

college is what you make it. get out, get to know new people, and if it still sucks you can always transfer. either way, good luck.

i completely misread the maryland thing... it guess its normal to get worried about everything. as much as im sick of my town, im afraid of missing it. but i know that itll change when i get used to the new surroundings.

i don't think i'd want to spend one week in York, let alone 4 years.

basically, just get out of your hometown. even if it's only a few hours away, you'll be glad you did.

Hey. I live there. About 10 minutes away from York College actually. And you're definitely right. I'm super stoked for the day I can get out of this place. I do know a few people going there actually. (It's the kind of college that half my school ends up going to just because it's close.) If you have any questions about York, feel free to ask.

Why is that? Where do you live?

I believe you meant to say I am* where, in which case, that's cool. but yeah, for whatever reason there is a cross country course here. I could never really figure that out though? this place is deserted.

This happened to me last year. I picked the wrong school, not at all what i wanted. My freakout was warranted I think.

Have a good freshman year and if you don't like it still, just transfer.
