.....to some people. It just matters the way you think. Some people can do a lot without schooling, and just pure talent.

I agree to some extent... but you won't really get anywhere without a high school degree... and whatever you'd be able to do on talent alone, you'd probably get further with if you had a college degree (sometimes depending on the situation).

Well that is true also, but there are always exceptions anyway. College degrees sometimes don't matter, but high school degrees aren't as easy to get nowadays.

if you really hate it so badly then you need to do whatever you can to get out but dont just sit there and do nothing you have to do alot for yourself or just enough to where you know that you will be able to get out. and yeah college degrees do matter whether you want to believe it or not but it is a law that you have to get your diploma unless you are 18 and you decided to drop out which is pretty stupid b/c you have already gone that far you might as well finish and yeah school is more important than some things.

I live in a fairly small town in Michigan, so my high school was pretty cliquey. Everyone knows everyone, but I'm not popular, I never was, because I had my own ideas about everything, and my family wasn't from the town. Let me tell you, those kids treated me like shit because I was so different. I read all the time, and I listened to punk and went to punk shows, which was considered uncool. I've been pushed down flights of stairs, shoved into lockers and walls, beat up by football players- and I'm a girl! None of the principals would believe me, because like I said, my parents weren't from here, and they weren't liked. No one could believe that these "perfect" kids would do stuff like that, so people thought I was making it up. It got so bad that I had to be pulled out of school and homeschooled. I missed what friends I did have, at first, but then, I kind of moved on. I have had more opportunities because I wasn't in normal school, and I even got to graduate a year early.

Now I know that most parents wouldn't do that for their child. All I can say is that if you really hate school, do your best to get out as quick as possible. Just go, do the work, don't talk to anyone, and get your diploma. I've been out of normal high school for two years, I graduated at home this past May, and now I'm a college freshman. Trust me, it's a whole different world out of high school. I like college more than I ever did high school, and I like my job. Once you're out of high school, people change, grow up, and learn that the real world isn't so perfect. Just do your best to move on, because the grass is greener on the other side.
