A single song of Sufjan I generally enjoy. A whole album of Sufjan puts me to sleep. Not in a boring kind of way, that's just the kind of music it is. No denying Chicago as a brilliant song though.

Sufjan. Bright Eyes has better lyrics, but Conor's voice is just too much for me sometimes. Sufjan can be boring, I admit, but I think his best songs outshine Bright Eyes'.

i think almost all the albums sufjan has released are solid and i like almost all of the songs but for conor sometimes i like certain songs off of albums, but i don't think i have listened to a full album of his.

i respect both artists equally, but when it comes to who is better songwriter it's sufjan stevens. if conor was working alone it would just be him and a guitar. that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it would most definitely get boring after a while. sufjan stevens is an amazing composer. there really is no other artist out there who can touch him.

all in all, i probably like bright eyes (collectively as a band) better, but i think sufjan is a better musician.

A Sun Came and Enjoy Your Rabbit are all forgettable releases in my opinion. While granted, some of Bright Eyes' work is average at best, I'd still take Conor over Sufjan any day.
