Download the live (albeit drunk) recording here...its damn good I tell thee! (http://www.sendspace.com/file/7tkjn5)
Write it down, paraphrase the world around you
Forget those clouds and all of their petty weather patterns
The subtle sounds of alarms on foreign fields
Just breathe it out; don’t let the silence keep you now
I’m putting all my stock secrets that are sure to slip away
I call that faith, or a denial that helps me live from day to day
A twinkling television glow, a burnt out candle that I call hope
Some pray forgiveness from the sky; I take shelter from the night
Our souls are scattered like ashes on pavements in places that disappeared long ago
Whilst all the shadows escaped and the world looked away we lost everything that we know
I know that time is kind
To the beauty and warmth that survives
I’ll be hitching a ride on the first beam of light
That cuts through the air of the rapture tonight

What you have read and/or listened to is a stripped down live acoustic rendition of the first collaboration between Little Drawings (http://www.myspace.com/littledrawingsmusic) and Snowmobile (http://www.myspace.com/snowmobilemusic1). It will most likely be on the hopefully-early winter Little Drawings EP.
Here is a demo of how the music should sound, courtesy of Snowmobile (http://www.sendspace.com/file/k2ej86)
This is the first half of the song. The Second half...isn't finished, but never mind eh?

You and Francis collaborated? This should be brilliant, the lyrics are very nice. My computer is slow as shit, but I'll tell you what I think of the recording when it's done

You bet your anus we are.
Essentially, Francis writes the music, I write the vocals and lyrics then switch a few bits of original template around to create a nice wee collaboration

Sorry, I briefly fell asleep on my bathroom floor...which was ace.
I am writting lyrics for it at the moment, using the title you gave it as a thematic starting point as such

I think the booze helped me playing and singing, so from now on I am going to drink just enough to become a great musician that alienates those around him and being universily hated until I die by getting hit by a blimp at an air show and I sell 127.2 million copies of my album, only to be brought back to life by future cloning technology...
That's my plan

According to Pedro The Lion;
Bands with managers are going places.
Bands with messy hair and smooth white faces.
But you don't believe when I say that it won't be alright.
(Alright)
Vans with 15 passengers are rolling over.
But I trust T. William Walsh and I'm not afraid to die.
But you don't believe when I say that it won't be alright.
(Alright)
That it won't be alright.
(Alright)
Cause it won't be alright.
(Alright)

That is absolutely beautiful.
Oh man... I will continue to hail the Ben Gibbard comparisons. There are definate similarities, while you hold your own style.
It's like Ben Gibbard meets David Bazan.

I think this is possibly the nicest thing that you have ever said to me around these parts James, and it means more than you know.
I cannot fucking wait to get this going full band and flesh it out, now that I have Francis blessing to use his original instrumental as a blueprint.
You will be very pleased to know that, whilst it may not be complex or lyrically astounding by any means, "Yes I Mean No" is almost 100% certainly going to be recorded when Little Drawings gets back into action

That is awesome. The song that made me fall in love with your music (Actually, that may have been your Brand New cover from years ago... but the first original song?) will be fleshed out.
And you deserve to hear it. Your writing has absolutely blossomed into some of the best I've ever read.

If you are going to be Street Team Leader you will need to;
- Promote the fuck out the music/news/etc on ap.net, your friends, myspace etc.
- Recruit more people onto this street team
- Other stuff...i dont really know much about the Street Team thing

That Brand New cover was so ass-awful bwahahahaha
'Yes I Mean No' is just still great fun to play because it just makes me smile, and it has some lines that are simple but I still love;
So can you fill me in on what your fucking problem is?
What I have in good intentions I lack in common sense.
She said "Thanks for trying but it's just not helping"
I said "I'd try harder if you'd only let me!"
And I think you know that everything's worth something
I may not be much but at least I'm happy
I might re-write a few lines, simply by elaborating on the themes in a more tactful manner than I did when I first penned it.
If I wasn't so hammered right now I would probably write some long winded statement as to my lyrical expansion into my diverse mediums and narrative methods, but at the moment I just want to eat and watch hilarious porn

Sure!
hah.
I was asked to run two street teams in my short musical career. I turned both down because I knew I wouldn't be able to run it, as I was too young at the time.
Oh well. Both bands seem to be doing well enough, albeit not as well as I would like by now.
