I was over at Punknews.org the other day, just browsing, and I noticed that there was a contest being put on by that site and Atticus. From the posts that I read, the backlash was really really harsh towards Atticus and MacBeth. Personally, I like those companys and I dont view them as Posers or sellouts or fake punks, but it seems that the people over at punknews disagreed with me. I was just wondering what people thought of Atticus over here. I wear atticus and im not ashamed of it at all, and I know that Tate agrees with me.

discuss!!

People are too concerned with being cool and not looking like a poser. If you like the clothes, wear them. Who gives a shit what other people say.

From what I've heard, Atticus is a pretty damn fine company when it comes to indie bands. I've heard they've done quite a few good things, and the dragging the lake comps aren't that bad either.

i like atticus, but i think thats probably obvious though, because i love famous stars and straps. they sponser alot of good bands and they're clothes are really nice, whats not to like.

see, I was wondering what not to like too, when these fucktards over there were bashing on a company that has done alot for underground bands. I was just wondering what other people thought, not that I was going to change my style or anything. I guess that this places forums are alot more open minded than punknews.org at least over here we dont throw the word "sell out" around every 2 seconds like they do. I guess they know "real punk" and anyone who disagrees is also a sell out or a poser. Whatever.

I wouldn't concern myself with what punknews.org thinks is cool and not cool.....alot of the people over there think nofx is good, shows you how much they know. People just want something to bitch about

Yeah seriously...who gives a shit what punknews.org has to say. Atticus has got some rad clothes and Macbeth shoes are cool (though not my style..i prefer diesels). These companies are good because though you can buy their clothes in the mall they are all about indie music and great bands. Look at who Atticus sponsors and then tell me they're "posers"

And by the way...the word "poser" gets thrown around too much. Punk is dead...i prefer to just straight out tell the person that they're in it for the fashion.

How the fuck else are they supposed to sell clothes, out of a van traveling around the country? You have to sell them in stores. They can't help who buys what, but the fact is, they sponser tons of underground bands they know whats up.
