You say I've got to learn, but I find that
I am father behind than you know, than you realize.
When you go, when you skip, when you run ahead
do you turn, do you see me beet red?

Don't you see the signs like stoplights?
don't you hear the thunder
that warns you of what is to come?
you sit still, you play dumb

You laugh as you run past and kick up dirt
I cough in the clouds you leave around me
I could scream if I would let you see
that I'm scared to always be so far behind

Don't you see the signs like stoplights?
don't you hear the thunder
that warns you of what is to come?
you sit still, you play dumb

Go ahead and roll down that hill
Get that thrill of your hear spilling
out and over your face
Go ahead and lay still at the bottom,
at the place we currently reside,
we currently hide.

Don't you see the signs like stoplights?
don't you hear the thunder
that warns you of what is to come?
you sit still, you play dumb

silent you motion for me to come
lay in the grass next to you
let the green envelope you
and me as we sleep beneath the blue

eh...sorry Sarah, this just didnt do it for me. I just found it to be pretty boring, overall, but the line "dont you see the signs like stoplights" does have a certain ring to it.

and the last stanza I quite liked, but the rest, not so much.
sorry, but better luck next time, I guess.

I liked the topic and where you were trying to go, but I just don't think you got it across as efficiently as you could have. I really disliked the chorus, but I enjoyed the verses.
