This was the Planning Fallacy's last show. They played their full EP and two new songs.
Chase Pagan was really good. The guy can wail, and his compositions with the drumming were excellent. I felt like no one was really into him, but he was just amazing, and I'm very excited about his upcoming release now.
Alesana. Okay, I really really don't get this band at all. They're in all black, they have three guitars just wailing, a screamer that makes you want to take a knife to each ear drum, and just plain bad music all around. I honestly don't get it, this is all two years ago, and really awful. I hate Hawthorne Heights, and Alesana might be a close second on the list.
As Cities Burn played a great set tonight. They played all the songs on the album except for "Clouds". They also played a very impressive version of "The Widow" which blew me away. The new album is different, and I get it, but the first time I heard it, I was so impressed that the style change was so damn good. There's so much going on this record for everyone, there's heavy stuff for older fans, and calmer more progressive stuff for newcomers. I honestly don't think the review on this site was justice at all. As honest of an album as I find in a band like mewithoutYou or Brand New. At least give a burned or leaked copy a shot, and you'll see it'll be worth the purchase.
here's their set:
Contact
Empire
This is It! This is It!
Bloodsucker Pt2
The Hoard
New Sun
Tides
Widow
Our World is Grey
The Nothing That Kills/Outro
Timothy
ENCORE
Wrong Body
Terrible!!! How Terrible the Great City!!!!
