SR-71 = God.

I agree with that entire list with the exception of nickleback. Their music is decent, but the lead singer still looks like a drugged up Jesus even though he cut his hair now. And I'm traumatized easily.

no they're not...shut up...part of what makes coldplay good is the lyrical quality of their songs...just because they have similar sound doesnt mean they ripped them off...how many bands can you say that interpol has ripped off?? a million

kevin
09/23/03, 06:25 AM
Name one band Interpol has ripped off. Seriously, try.

And yes, Coldplay wants to be Radiohead. But really, who doesn't want to be Radiohead? So I guess it's justified.

angie710
09/23/03, 06:42 AM
Ahh, the Radiohead/Coldplay debate...

Two completely separate stylings vocally and two completely separate era's musically.... Maybe Coldplay used them for inspiration, but I wouldnt use the term "ripoff" Thats harsh...Personally, I'm partial to Radiohead, but thats just me...

the rolling stones!!!!!! probably the most obvious one there

or if you're looking for modern day shit that you would know...the strokes and other mindless band in the ny rock and roll scene who also rips off the stones

if coldplay wanted to be radiohead then they would start experimenting with electronic music and put out 2 shitty records...we'll see if that happens

kevin
