yeah, in like Feb. or something I went into Hollister with my friend and Something Corporate was playing, I was like "oookay" and then I turn to my right and what do I see, SOMETHING CORPORATE shirts, they said something along the lines of "California's Own - SOMETHING CORPORATE - then it said dates on it. I bought one though ;) They also had a huge poster of them and up at the counter they have "punk" CDs (of corse the CDs are like $20 so no one in their right mind would buy one)

I do not care. Who cares what type of people listen to what music or where you hear music playing. If you like it, listen to it. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. It's that simple. Don't pay attention to the crowd.

Hollister is owned by abercrombie. It uses the music as a form of marketing its clothes. I wouldn't call any bands that you would see or hear in the store sell outs considering that they never said they wouldn't sell out. The cds are ridiculously over priced too.

Also, why does it even matter what clothes you wear? Everyone thinks to be 'punk' you have to skate or be a goth or somethin and thats really kinda gay...I mean honestly, who wants to wear black in 90 degree weather?

Honestly, why the fuck do people care what music is being played where. Just shut the fuck up.
Personally, I'd rather be listening to the get up kids while I'm in a store than some jennifer lopez dance remix.

Good point...theres no reason to get upset that good music is breaking through to the mainstream. If you were a TBS fan before they were big why should you care now. Its still the same song. One time in best buy i heard FSF being played and I was ecstatic because they are one band that really deserves as much exposure as they can get, even if it is over a store PA.

Ok, this thread is really dumb. First of all, what the hell does it matter what stores play TBS or the Get Up Kids? Maybe they LIKE that music... just a thought. And who cares if Hollister is making "punk" clothes. We all know YOU'RE not gonna buy them so stop complaing about it. I bought a Something Corporate shirt from Hollister so I guess I'm a sellout now... whatever. The trends are gonna come and go... we know this. So stop making stupid ass threads about it.

heh, just kidding but i mean, cmon, who cares if Hollister was playing TBS? we all know hat punks a big trend right now (goddamned good charlotte), so why do we care? Itll be over soon enough.

I've heard brand new, get up kids, further seems forever, and a bunch of other shit on the PA in Best Buy. It made me happy.
