I chose Negative Space, Welcome to Bangkok is a waste of space on that album, imo. I'm surprised no one as of yet has name dropped instrumental bands' songs.

I chose Negative Space, Welcome to Bangkok is a waste of space on that album, imo. I'm surprised no one as of yet has name dropped instrumental bands' songs.

It'd be way too easy to list an instrumental bands' song, so many good ones. I'm actually having a hard time thinking of a favorite by a band that doesn't normally do them. I need to finish listening to the rest on the list. Agree about welcome to bangkok though... not so amazing. I think the instrumental on thrice's water disc will be quite good.

I don't think there is an instrumental on that disc.

My favorite instrumentals right now are The Hotter, The Wetter, The Better by Apollo Sunshine and The Lee Baby Simms Show Episode 1 by Steel Train. Besides YYZ by Rush ha.

I think you mean "Reset"; "Control" is not an instrumental.

If bands that specialize count:
Mogwai - Superheroes of BMX
Mogwai - New Paths To Helicon I
Mogwai - Hunted By A Freak
Isis - Altered Course
Isis - In Fiction
Explosions in the Sky - First Breath After Coma
Explosions in the Sky - The Only Moment We Were Alone
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - The Dead Flag Blues
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Gathering Storm
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Moya
God is an Astronaut - Frozen Twilight
God is an Astronaut - Forever Lost
Everett - The Crown

If not:
Ninety Pound Wuss - It's So Far Away
In Flames - Dialogue With The Stars
Acceptance - Ad Astra Per Aspera

All Instrumentals by The Appleseed Cast are way better than anything Brand New did so far!

i will be the first to support anyone who says brand new is not over-worshipped on this site and that they deserve everything they get but after seeing this im beginning to belive all the ppl who bitch that they get to much credit....i skip welcome to bangkok on the cd, and there are a million amazing instramentals i could listen to over and over again...i mean, of every other song ever made, brand new has 70 someodd more votes with one song...thats just crazy
