Last night was the Copeland/Juliana Theory show here in Austin. Here is what I thought:

First up was Celebrity. They had a good sound and the crowd dug em. This was my first time seeing them and I was actually quite impressed.

Next was why I came to the show, to see Copeland. I talked to Aaron before the show and found out that .hopesfall. wasn't going to be there because their van and trailor were stolen the previous night in Dallas, and they were stuck there (side note, that really fucking sucks considering earlier this year, all of their rehearsal gear was stolen, so they purchased new gear for this tour, and now you know what happened to that). But anyway, the guys in Copeland are some of the nicest you will ever meet. And I saw them about a week and a half earlier on their tour with Armor For Sleep, so i was prepared for this show and had a video camera. They took the stage and opened with "take care." Fucking amazing, except when the bass drum kept fucking up at the beginning. Later in the set, they played "priceless," (my favorite Copeland song) and the performance blew me away. There is nothing more i can really say except that i think this band is amazing, and if they come near your town, definitely check them out.

And last was Juliana theory, a band i have never really gotten into. So i stayed for about half their set thought it was ok. The crowd really dug em, and their were some 40+ year old guys in the back singing every word, which i thought was cool.

Well there you have it. In my opinion, Copeland stole the show and put on a breathtaking performance. Like i said, I videotaped their set so if anybody is interested, I'll send you a copy for free.
