Star Wars hands down. original trilogy that is.

Are we talking strictly movies? If so, LOTR. If books are included, then Harry Potter for sure. HP is like a drug to me.

It's all the same.

Lord of the Rings, easily.

Harry Potter is great, I love it, and have read all the books many times. But Rowling contradicts herself, and didn't create an entire history, a new world like Tolkien. Tolkien knew everything about Middle Earth. Rowling doesn't even really know how many kids are at Hogwarts. It doesn't add up, and she basically says "It doesn't matter, anyhow."

I love Harry Potter (Star Wars, too, for that matter, but the Prequels just didn't do it.) but LotR gets the win here.

The other options are jokes.

Star Wars.. The WHOLE SERIES... The Prequel's were necessary...

The Matrix in close second..

FUCK.. Lord of the Rings..

LOTR, as far as the movies go. I think it was the most perfectly orchestrated trilogy, they way they were released... since they were all shot at once. It's so... epic, more so than the others. The biggest treat for the eyes in my opinion, not to mention the great action/story/characters and whatnot.

I am/was a pretty big star wars, and for that matter harry potter nerd, such betrayl...

The Star Wars vs. Lord Of The Rings debate in Clerks 2 pretty much sums up my feelings. I never got into LOTR, I didn't find it interesting at all.

Star Wars is closer to my heart moreso than others. Nonetheless, it was a tough choice.

star wars is a pop culture phenomena that has lasted for 30 years, and still exists despite george lucas trying to kill it with a another three movies (which have a great story, but the the worst acting and dialogue imaginable).

LOTR is still very much an exclusive little club that chuckles every time they hear a led zepellin song. It has an appeal, but there's a universality that star wars snagged back in 77 that LOTR still doesn't have, despite being an excellent set of movies.

Harry Potter could be what star wars is/was, but only time will tell on that one.

i never really liked LotR much. as for pirates, the 2nd and 3rd movies were kinda pathetic in my oppinion, same with the matrix. i picked hairy potter because it catured my attention the most, both thru the books and movies.

star wars hands down. granted, the 3 new star wars movies were weak but the old 3 just blew everything else out of the water. no comparison.

Star Wars all the way. I can't imagine people picking Pirates. Pirates was fun and all, but very disposable and forgettable. Matrix had more lasting power for me than Pirates.

Lord of the Rings is the WORST Epic Series on here.. I'd much rather watch Pirates of the Caribbean over it..

There was nothing to LoTR.. Just a bunch of weak acting..

considering star wars is one of the best series of movies ever, and i extremely enjoy every one of the original 70's era ones more than the 2000's era ones. i had to go with star wars.
