Why so much Brand New hype?

i saw them play w/dashboard, mxpx and vendetta red. What a HUGE dissapointment. What is so good about this Jesse, when he wasn't busy muttering his solom lyrics he was mumbling some incoherant message that nobody could hear. Although he looked tortured, his voice was really weak, the crowd was singing louder than him and sort of drowned this guy out. I am of course very dissapointed esp since everyone here loves them. I am not looking for an argument, I just thought I'd share my opinion.

I've seen Brand New a fews times live and they were amazing each time. One of the times I saw them Jesse was sick, so his singing sounded a little bit off, but they still kicked ass.

I think Brand New recieves way too much hype. Yes, they're very talented and I am a fan of some of their stuff, but in all honesty I just don't think they deserve as near as much as what they're getting. But im happy for them I guess.

At least that's when you know that they're dedicated.

And I don't think they recieve too much hype. They're a great band, and deserve the hype. It's cool to see an LI band get that big, a la TBS.

brand new is a great band, and i think they deserve the hype their gettin. although i dont approve of it. this time next year (RIP the movielife by the way) all the lil mtv freaks will be screaming for the quiet things or sic transit gloria. and of course jesse will become an obcession for all those lil 12 year old girls who prolly wouldnt kno what 'your favorite weapon' is if you asked em.

Oh man, Brand New is so great. I've only seen them once during Warped tour so I can't say much about them live since it's hard to judge from Warped.But musically...oh my! and whats this about Crappy (good haha) charlotte getting a TV show!?!?! PLEASE GOD TELL ME YOU ARE JUST KIDDING

those damn annoying twins have a show called 'all things rock' on mtv. some of the videos are ok, but its just a sign as to how quickly they sold out. and i thought blink was bad. (even tho i hear good things about the upcoming cd)

but good charlotte makes blink look like chumbawumba.

Deja Entendu sounds like Brand New is trying to be something they're not...

The new album has some decent lyrics, but the music is incredibly lame. They're getting so much hype these days because Jesse is trying to be Morissey...

Brand New's live show has suffered too... Definitely not as cool as it used to be...

Ok, I don't care if they hate GC or not. It was the fact that they wish death upon them that I was attacking, as were many other people but you've all seemed to overlook that. :rolleyes:
