Scott really did drums? Because he was the highest talent they ever had.

I don't mean to disrespect, cause Blink has gotten more kids into the punk scene than anything else (And most of their kids develop their taste from there, let's face it, almost every "the used" fan started out singing along to "dammit"),
But blink 182 has got to be the least progressive band ever.
Their stuff still sounds the same after how many years?
The only things that improved were they knocked off that half assed drummer scot (oh my god, to the person that thought they brought him back, two words: TRAVIS BARKER. Three more words:
BEST DRUMMER EVER. They would have no need for Scot, because Travis can run circles around him) and the singing (studio magic?). Don't take me wrong, they write damn catchy stuff for what they do know, but you'd think a band would progress past four chord wonders and the "punk T" (guitarists and bassists will know what I am talking about)...
I mean, it's great they can still put out solid music, but is it too much to ask for it to be even slightly different than their last CD?

No they didnt. Travis Barker is 100 times better than Scott could ever be if he practiced 10 hours a day for the next 5 years. Am I saying that Scott is a bad drummer? No, Im just saying that Travis is THAT GOOD. As for poor excuse, i keep telling myself: Ok, Im not going to get mad about this... Im not going to get mad about this... Im not going to get mad about this... Im not going to get mad about this... hes full of shit and he makes himself look like an ass... I dont need to humiliate him any more than he has already done for himself... Im not going to get mad about this...
SERENITY NOW!!!

HOLY CRAP! How can people say that Travis Barker isn't a good drummer. He is the best, I think that without his drumming blink just wouldn't be the same now, sure scott could drum fast but it was nowhere near as complex as travis. Im done rantin' yay! blink rules:D

id bet alot of money on the fact that green day showed kids more about punk then blink...Green Day are at least real punks.
but as far as success, Id say Blink did more. Green Days only massive song was Time of your Life, and Blinks had several really big songs now. And as far as Blink being "real punks", I agree, theyre not, theyre pop punk, but I still like them.

nah dude, Green Day had LOTS more success. Dookie went 10 times platinum in the USA alone....other big songs taht did REALLY well..."basketcase", "when i come around", "longview", "brainstew", "minority"...

but we are both 84/85 kids...so Blink 182 are the ones that influenced are "generation"...where as green day probably did that (to a further extent aswell i thnk) to ...lets say Andreas generation...(right andrea?:)...or am i talking out my ass)

And then S/T turned out to be a huge shift in their sound compared to their early albums.

Definitely going to try it with that track listing now like. With the real album missed out Lost Without You, All Of This and the stupid interlude. Must sound like THE perfect album.

But I mean even when that post was made, Good Riddance wasn't their only popular song... Longview, Basket Case, When I Come Around... Dookie was massive. But yeah, then American Idiot happened. :-p

Exactly. Each to their own. I view it as a waste of space. Completely pointless in every single way, just so they can say the album has 14 tracks. The album gained nothing from having it on.
However, you are free to think what you want about it.
