Oh well. . .Omaha!

My sister is on a plane right now to go to Omaha Nebraska to stay with family that lives there while she visits a college. . .

and she is going to the Oberst's HOUSE to meet conor oberst's (bright eyes) mom!!! Life is not fair.

if you are wondering how she is able to do that, it's because my grandfather lives in Omaha and is friends with Mrs. Oberst.

but yeah, I'm jealous :(

I can't understand why anyone would actually want to live here because of the scene:eek: It's not really that amazing. Yeah we get some cool shows here, but a lot of the 'scenesters' who are always at the shows are snots and really fashion-concious, and it gets extremely annoying to be at a show, where everybody just stands there and nods their heads, cause it's the cool thing to do. Nobody goes all out, rocks out, they just stand there.

Omaha is boring.

I rock out at the shows! But yea, Omaha isnt that cool to live in. Its pretty boring actually. But, in my opinion, the best band in Omaha is the Faint. Conor steals all their attention.

the faint does rock. and so does son, ambulance.. and pretty much all the other saddle creek bands. but i'm a HUGE bright eyes fan.. but that's cool your sister gets to do that.

I would want to meet conor oberst's mom because it would be cool to talk to her, and it would be interesting to see what conor was like growing up and stuff... and why wouldn't you want to see conor's room? or, pictures of him on the mantle? haha that would be awesome.

but yeah, my family lives in omaha, I can't imagine that it would be to great of a place to live. the scene is really the only thing that it has going for it unless you are into football and are obsessed with the corn huskers.

Yea, people are really obsessed with the Huskers here. Its sickening. But the scene is pretty good, as since Im a bassist in a band, I can safely say that Omaha is an awesome place to be a musician.
