Headphones?

I really really like having those massive ones that cover your whole ear and block out all the sound around you, it just sucks when someones trying to talk to you because you cant here them in the slightest, but the sound is the best. but i was wondering what everyone else likes
those little ones that u stick in your ears
the older kind that are like the regular ones that come with most cd players
or the massive earmuffs like i have

I normally just use the "around the back" ones that everyone seems to have now. The big ones cost too much, and are bulky for on the go. (i have to hide them in school :D ).

Here's a thought..
The bacteria in your ear multiplies 300 times when you wear headphones for just half an hour.

That being said, I like the ones from sony that go over the front of the ear but not the entire thing. The ones that go right in your ear hurt like a mother, and really really get annoying.

i ahve the ones that go over ur ear, they are heaps better that those shitty ones that go in ur ears. like that other dude said, theyre annoying. plus they sound shitty and dont go loud enough. im so glad i got the ones i have now cos when im coming home on the bus after work everyday, the prats that get on my bus really give me the shits and if i didnt have my lovely 'fones to block out all their crap, i think i wouldve committed a very bad crime by now. (ie, murder by shoving their head out the bus window to get torn off by the oncoming traffic)

unfortunately, i stepped on mine, and had to fix them with superglue!!

the "around the back" ones piss me off. and they hurt my ear after a while. i use the big headphones occasionally. but overall i prefer those tiny ones.

How much do the really big headphone usually cost? All my headphones kinda suck, I wouldn't mind getting myself some of those, especially because i listen to headphones so much in my dorm cause my roommate goes to bed at like 1230.... :rolleyes:

i just bought new headphones at best buy the other day because i somehow managed to break the other ones. the ones i got were the most expensive normal pair of big head phones if that makes sense and they were $30. the next step up was like the DJ style ones which were like $120 or some insane price like that
mine are cool though because they have a mute button on the side for when like people are trying to talk to you and the chord is 9 feet long so i can plug it into my stereo at night incase i dont feel like wasting anymore batteries on my walkman an which lets me sit across the room or whatever so i dont have to stand right next to the thing.

I have the "around the back ones" that came with my MP3 player, and they are really comfortable and nice, but they are busted. I can't find them anywhere to get another pair. . . so I have crappy "around the back" replacements that suck. (sniff sniff) I loved those headphones.

I'm obsessed with audio equipment, and the main thing as of late being headphones. I've spent over $200 on headphones in the past few weeks... and I'm planning on buying another set of $180 headphones and an amp for about $150-200 pretty soon.

Anyone with headphone/audio questions... I'm the guy to ask. :D
