underoath
every time i die
maylene and the sons of disaster
verizon wireless theater - houston, tx
september 22, 2007

this show was pretty great. bands played short, to the point sets. mostly new stuff all around. fast paced, energetic. this was also the opening night of the tour too, so i figured people would want to get the setlists.

setlists:

maylene and the sons of disaster

darkest of kin
gusty like the wind
caution: dangerous curves ahead
dry the river
a song off of II...not sure. plenty strong and plenty wrong
raised by the tide
memories of the grove

etid

no son of mine
the new black
cities and years
floater
some song off of gutter..i think it was guitarred and feathered
pigs is pigs
ebolarama
rendez-voodoo
bored stiff
we'rewolf
kill the music
imitation is the sincerest form of battery

underoath

salmarnir
returning empty handed
in regards to myself
it's dangerous business walking out your front door
you're ever so inviting
to whom it may concern
a moment suspended in time
young and aspiring
there could be nothing after this
writing on the walls
everyone looks so good from here
casting a thin shadow

encore:
moving for the sake of motion
a boy brushed red, living in black and white

I'm looking forward to leaving before Underoath. Was Poison the Well not on this date?

So much for Dallas coming out and doing "When The Sun Sleeps" with UO. Nice sets all around though, expect ETID playing too much GP and not enough HD!. Just my opinion.

If that ETID setlist is in the correct order there not closing with Floater on this tour which is kind of disappointing because I think the breakdown at the end of the song is a great way to end there set. Either way this will still be a kick ass show. Is any one really surprised Dallas didn't come out with them? Spencers ego is now way too huge to take the back seat to anyone. Oh well.

My date also as Poison The Well!

yeah, no poison the well in houston. which if this was the tear from the red era, i would've been real disappointed. i disliked you come and versions greatly, though.

also, etid setlist is in order. i think imitation is a better closer with the "my job here is done...you're fucking welcome."

did people really expect dallas to come out for and underoath song? crazy talk.

not to sound like a dick, but dont get your hopes up. in AP, Tim from UO said that he has never come on stage and done any UO songs. but maybe, just maybe, they might do it if there is any florida dates. thats also a big might.

underoath played the whole new album and only like 4 old songs? i wish they would play more old ones.

In the current AP magazine, under the little tour preview they said it might happen.

Yes, I'm aware of what Tim has stated, but in the most recent issue he or another member mentioned that there was the possibility of Dallas coming out and doing a song with them. While I don't have high hopes of it happening I would be pleasantly surprised if it did happen since fans have been asking for at least that one song to be played as it seems to be their most popular song.

Underoath's set is amazing and disappointing at the same time, staying at 3 TOCS songs, when they're headlining and all.

Not to mention: Salmarnir?! It'd be cool... but just weird.

All that to say, I wish I could go to this tour, haha. But I've seen Underoath and Maylene together twice already...

the intro was cool, they played salmarnir to a bizarre video intro, purple lights. it was pretty cool.

nice ETID set, but i'd like to see one or two more from Hot Damn! and I figured they wouldn't be playing any older stuff than that. If half of their set is going to be new stuff I'd drop "pigs is pigs," "guitarred and feathered," and "the new black" for "a gentleman's sport," "INRIhab," and either "i been gone a long time" or "she's my rushmore." I hope that the ETID and UO sets don't get too much shorter when poison the well starts playing shows.

bah the only reason I was even debating on going to this was hoping Dallas would come on and sing "When The Sun Sleeps"

seriously the only way I would pay $20 for this is if right when underoath started playing Dallas just fucking jumped from out of no where and knocked out spencer and then they only played stuff from Act of Depression/Cries of the Past/The Changing of Times

the look of confusion on 95% of the audiences face would be worth every penny

that would be priceless. everyone would be like, "i've never heard these songs before. what's happening." i cant wait to leave right after maylene's set.

$30!?!?! is it really that much fucking money? holy hell, any show more than $15 isn't worth it in my opinion. it was only $8 for the show I saw tonight and everyone playing was more talented and entertaining then underoath or every time i die

yeah i'm guessing that most of the tickets on this tour are priced from 18-20 dollars, plus a lot of people buy the tickets off of ticketmaster, so there's another 8 or 9 dollars a ticket. toss in a few bucks for parking and it's 30 bucks pretty easy

even as much as i like them, i wouldn't pay the money just for them. i'd wait around for a headlining tour or something close to that.

UO better play some older material for the Tampa show , this is their hometown and they havnt played a real headlining show here in years.
if Dallas would come out and sing When The Sun Sleeps trust me the floor of Jannus Landing would be covered in the collective shit of the entire crowd.

I mean come on Norma Jean let Josh come out and do Memphis on every date of their tour with The Chariot , why can't Underoath just man up and give their hometown fans what they want?

i doubt it's underoath that doesn't want it. dalls has moved on, i think he's the one who's not wanting this.

does anybody know if any of these sets have changed since the tour started?

CarpeDiem8711

At last night's show in Omaha ETID's set was the same, but the song off GP the original poster thought was Guitarred & Feathered was actually Apocalypse Now & Then; along with Pigs Is Pigs, not Hang 'Em High.

Underoath's set was the same minus Moving For the Sake of Motion in the encore. They only played ABBRLIBAW at the end.

im so excited for this tour. i finally got to see underoath live at warped tour this summer for the first time after being a fan for about a year and a half but this time they'll be playing a full set and im in love with the set list. i hope it stays the same. im also suprised this hasnt sold out in philly. has this sold out elsewhere ?

I hope ETID alters their set for the Buffalo show. It's a good set, don't get me wrong, but I'd kind of like to see at least one song off of Last Night In Town. I know it's highly unlikely, but I'll hope.

They haven't played that song since the first two times I saw them. And I've seen them like six times now. Most of the time they've been with other bands, I'm not really a huge fan of their live show anymore. It's better now than it was last year but they were best the first time.
