so sad . . . my dad just deleted kazaa, he was scared we were going to get sued or something.

Did anyone else have to do this?
I think it sucks because It's not like i don't support the bands that i download, I go to shows and buy their cds and merch! It's not like I'm stealing music, i don't download entire cd's, just afew songs to either check a band out or to put onto a cd.

anyway, what are your thoughts on downloading music?

This threads been done, but whatever. I download a few songs off an album, and if I like it, then I buy the cd and support the band. But you know, you dont have to delete Kazaa, just make it so your not the one sharing music. i.e. you can download, but people cant download from you.

i stopped using kazaa like a year ago. now all i use is mp3.com and buy cd's and this works for me just fine. plus it keeps me off the computer a little bit because having dsl and all i could download like 20 albums in 30 sec so i guess it keeps me out and about and in the stores.

Download Kazaa lite, it has an IP blocker and also, I hear that they only sue people who have like mass amounts of songs like over 1000 or somethin...so yeah...get downloadin'

i know how u feel halighAlie. my mom read in people magazine about how people are getting sued for downloading music. but it said they are only targeting people with over 1000 songs downloaded. but my mom is also telling me to delete it. im gonna keep it as long as i can thou.

Tech tv has the list that they update every week or something.

And yea, I download whole cds, but if I like it a lot, I'll buy it. If it's just okay, I'll burn it. And if it sucks, then I light monkeys on fire. Or I just delete it.......

Supporting bands is good....

I have nothing to worry about, I barely have 40 songs downloaded. I am a total CD junkie, I buy all my music. SUPPORT THE BAND, don't steal from them. :D
