Why haven't I heard anything about it? I'm listening to it right now and it isn't bad at all, but I can't find any reviews of it or anything. I haven't heard anyone talking about it. It's a shame really cause I really like Cartel.

Can't say I'm a fan of theirs at all, but my girlfriend loves them. She bought the new album and is pretty disappointed with it. I personally think all the songs sound the same. They represent the ATL though.

^I think it debuted with 30,000 copies sold or something around that.

The only songs I really liked were Wasted and The Fortunate. The others were okay, just nothing special.

Many of the older fans (ie. us on the board) really loved Chroma and this was a huge letdown for us, though it's not bad, it's boring and not fun and not Cartel.

I enjoy some of it but not as much as Chroma.

^^This. Saw them last night and the only song that I was impressed with was 'Tonight'.

Because so many other bands are more deserving of one's time.

Cartels latest self-title album was such a let down. I was greatly anticipating the album, then when I downloaded it, I was completely dissapointed. Every song is bland and the same. Wasted was the only one that I kinda liked. I thought the Band In A Bubble thing was pretty cool, but it obviously was a bad thing when it came to them actually making music, plus I seriously doubt they wrote the whole album in there, I know for a fact they didnt write 'Lose It' in the bubble, ther are videos on Youtube from fans at shows listening to the song months before the Band In A Bubble show. Chroma and The Ransom EP were good albums, but they totally dunked out on the self-Titled Album. Hows that for a review? You can get a good gist of whats up.

agreed! though the first 3 are good. georgia is good too.

i got a leaked copy...with 15 songs instead of 13. there are 2 songs not on the record "radioheadish" and "piano song".

but its a good thing, cause pian song is pointless and radioheadish fucking sucked.

i credit them to trying new things but the ideas they had didnt work for them. they came out boring and drowned out. a lot of the time i was waiting for a song to pick up and it didnt.

especially after putting out such more poppy upbeat material,to slow it down after gaining many fans off your previous release is what hurt the record musically.

I have mixed reactions about this album , some real good songs but some are pretty weak. it's too bad... I really liked Chroma.
