Dashboard Confessional did a solo (mostly) acoustic show last night at Center Stage in Atlanta and it was breathtaking. Granted, it did take me back about five years, but to hear these songs performed so raw again was good to hear. It was probably the best time I’ve seen him and the crowd was great… singing along with every word but not overpowering Chris.

Setlist:

Brilliant Dance
Again I Go Unnoticed
The Sharp Hint of New Tears
Carry This Picture For Luck
Don't Wait
Shirts and Gloves
Screaming Infidelities
Dusk and Summer
So Impossible
So Long So Long
Where There’s Gold
Thick as Thieves
Remember to Breathe (with lines from “I Gotcha” from Legends of Rodeo (John Ralston’s first band.. and much better) and also Regina Spektor’s “Better”) – This was a 10 minute rendition that was probably the highlight of the show.
El Scorcho
Vindicated
Stolen
-Encore-
Swiss Army Romance
Hands Down

That setlist is awesome, I think its so cool how he's been putting parts of other songs into his own (the Umbrella part in The Places You've Come to Fear the Most was bad ass)...I def need to try and catch a stop on this tour

I've yet to hear an acoustic rendition of 'Vindicated'.

The VH1 acoustic session of Vindicated is awesome.

Honestly, his real early stuff was very enjoyable, especially at the age that I was at.

From then on it's just cliche garbage if you ask me.

I think his writing has differed quite a bit on new albums than the earlier stuff.

Both lyrically and musically.

I feel the exact same way. I think it would be very nostalgic to see him, though, with just him and a guitar again.

i saw a very similar set except he played age six racer, the swiss army romance was earlier, and he played the places you have come to fear the most. i thought the middle of the show kinda dragged when he played the new songs and that long ass version of remember to breath. one time i saw dashboard with thrice and the getup kids and chris played a sick version of remember to breath where he put in the lyrics to i will play my game beneath the spin light. it was so badass.

Seems like he has been changing the setlist up a bit every night which is pretty cool!
