and is number 6 is shark attack. and that is a super good set list, all the songs i like by them. i want to see what nfg played, how much they mixed it up.

SamTheMan677
10/07/07, 09:23 PM
Yeah senses fail played every good song they have practically ever released. yeah i left midway thru the NFG setlist I mean they were good just not my type. Same with SYG. just never listened to them. plus got off work late so i couldnt have not missed them.

I really really don't understand how you go for senses fail and not see set your goals or NFG. wow

SamTheMan677
10/07/07, 09:30 PM
Because I don't like NFG? When i saw them on TRL when i was like 14 I really didn't dig them and I don' dig them that much now.. and I know a lot of my friends like syg but :-/ . I do think senses fail put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. The energy and buddys voice were on key better than almost anything ive seen aside from maybe emery/anberlin 2 years ago

Wasupi
10/07/07, 09:33 PM
Buddy from Senses Fail has got to be the absolute worst vocal performance I have ever seen live. . . .

dont put them in the same category as Anberlin. . . Stephen Christian doesnt deserve that

SamTheMan677
10/07/07, 09:39 PM
Yeah and i agree from what I've seen on youtube, but in vegas he was AMAZING on key, and the screams were amazing

Good Mourning
10/07/07, 09:44 PM
ive seen senses fail i believe 6 times all because they've been on tours with bands i like...and all 6 times, he was absolutely fucking terrible. The band would be good live if they had someone with an IQ of over 50 up there on stage(hes acted like a complete moron each time as well) and could actually sing and/or scream.

Rum Is For Drinking, Not For Burning

Irony Of Dying On Your Birthday
You're Cute When You Scream

I guess when I go a week from today I will be expecting a whole lotta people to leave before NFG.

NFG puts on an amazing show. They play like 20 songs everytime (cuz a lot of them are so short). But yeah..the crowds are usually really into it:).....I like NFG, but I like Senses Fail more.....but NFG>Senses Fail live for sure.

man, lots of cover songs for nfg. i like them but i'd rather hear a lil more old stuff. but hell they just released the album, so i can see why

are you kidding me??

I mean, I used to be really into Senses Fail, and I've seen them twice, but Buddy is terrible live

NFG on the other hand probably puts on THE best live show I've ever saw, except for MAYBE Against Me!

...any setlists for SYG?

I agree with what some people are saying...too much off of From the Screen To You Stereo! I mean, I sorta expected this as they're touring the album and all, but I think I'll miss some of the staples of their live set (like Something I Call Personality). Although it'll be interesting to see what kind of reaction the crowd gives to the cover songs...personally I think it'll be a lot of fun since everyone knows them already...except now we can mosh to them, lol.

I went to the first stop of the tour in Vegas....

New Found Glory played last in the bill and did not have time for any encores (I think Senses Fail played longer than NFG= not a good thing!!!) They played the following (not in order... I cant understand how people can remember 14 songs in order)

off of S/T-
Hit or Miss (opener)
Vegas (they said they only play this song in vegas!!)
Sticks and Stones-
Understament
My friends over you
Head on Collision
Forget my name
Catalyst-
All Down Hill
This Disaster
Failure not Flattering
Coming Home
Oxygen
Hold my Hand
FTSTY2-
It aint me babe
The Promise
King of Wishful Thinking
Iris
Kiss Me (Closer)

I might have missed a song in there can't really remember. It was an awesome show I will write the set list for the rest of the bands later.....
Sorry if i miss spelled stuff im kind of in a hurry.....

EDIT: Didnt see that somebody beat me to it.... :)

Set Your Goals- LOVED IT!!
Dead Men Tell No Tales
Mutiny
Work in Progress
Song from Mutiny!
Reset
Echoes
To be Continued (Closer)

TREOS- AMAZING!!!!
The War Of All Against All

heres my review of the show last night...

set your goals-not really into them so im not going to say anything positive or negative for all those people that like to jump on the offensive when someone states their opinion.

treos-very good. the set was awesome and they had so much energy.

nfg- awesome and exciting. they had alot of energy and jordan even came out onto the floor to sing the promise and dance with everyone. also jordan from set your goals was in the pit the whole set.

senses fail-headlined the whole show last night. very good set. buddy's vocals were even on key tonight. one of their better performances for sure. i thought it was funny when heath nearly knocked himself out on the microphone and then yelled at the stage tech about it.

all in all the show was fun. like i said im not a big set your goals fans so dont kill me for it. jordan from nfg and buddy kept taking shots at each other during each others sets.

anyhizzy
10/10/07, 09:57 AM

Nolessthanblink

Did anyone see them in Houston tonight? It's Jordan's birthday so they probably busted out some really good songs.

ugh senses fail better not headline in cincinnati

keeplioving
10/13/07, 11:40 PM
I saw the tour tonight in New Orleans.

Set Your Goals was awesome. but it was a super short set like the last time that they played here. oh well. they're a really fun band who plays great music. pretty much sums them up, ha. set was only about 25 minutes and I thought they'd play second

TREOS put on a great show. not much to say about it though. I still miss Casey being up there.

and uh, Senses Fail was like sitting in hell. you know that scenario where you're in hell and forced to sit in a room and listen to really, really bad music forever? yeah, it was like that. Buddy looked like a big tool onstage. that and the fact that he can't sing worth a crap. so, so, so happy when they ended. that's all I really have to say about that. I was hoping it'd go TREOS, SYG, NFG, and then Senses Fail so I could have left. but yeah, I think someone said they played 14 songs, so their set was cut about 2 songs short.

NFG was amazing. that's kind of all I can say to describe them. they'll probably always be one of my favorite bands to see live/in general. they played 16 songs. the setlist was:

hit or miss
understatement
oxygen
it ain't me babe
all downhill from here
something I can personality
hold my hand
king of wishful thinking
forget my name
the ballad
head on collision
iris
dressed to kill
intro
my friends over you
kiss me

and I just remembered they played "Failure's Not Flattering" too

Zach Cool
10/14/07, 02:01 PM
the ballad

Ballad for the Lost Romantics?

yo yo, finally have a chance to talka bout the wonderful NFG/senses fail et al show in NEW ORLEANS saturday night.

SET YOUR GOALS: awesome set, they seem a little green still, pretty new to the live show/touring thing, but their hearts are in the right place and their sound was fantastic. for supposedly being wassted the night before, the drummer was a beast behind the kit, fantastic drumming, solid musicianship and good energy. just need to mature the show a bit. i think its pretty funny that the one singer is 6'4'' 215 and the other guy is 5'5'' 120 haha. just looks kinda goofy, but nice guys. i met the tall/deeper voice singer guy after the show. nice dude. set was:
dead men tell no tales
mutiny!
work in progress
we do it for the money obviously
this very moment (YESSSSS)
this song is definitely NOT about a girl
goonies never say die
echoes

while i just recently got into their first album and have yet to hear the new one, TREOS, or OREOS, or "decending into sadness" as my one friend calls them played a solid set. my only complaint is that this bill isn't very suitable for them. they're just a little...its nto that they lack energy its just...the music is a bit dark/dismal for this type of tour...its like set your goals got me all pumped up for the fast pop punk and then OREOS came out and zapped it right back out of me. they just lack the overall "fun" energy of the other bands, but their emotional energy and stage presence and musicianship was spot on. they played the following
the war of all against all
smoke and mirrors
the evidence
new song
new song
planning a prison break (by far the highlight of the set)

SENSES FAIL
I'll admit, i went into this show with a bias against these dudes. i thought their debut e.p. was the most derivitive and immature pice of shit released in 2003. half assed emo core for the masses witha bunch of kids playing the music. well since then, they've grown up 4 years, released 2 albums and most importantly, added Heath formerly of midtown on g-tar. brilliant! i was impressed. buddy's stage presence is perfect, the best frontman out of all 3 bands, but he aint no jordan, sorry, i'm nfg superfan #1. but buddy was good. pretty funny too, said something about wanting to kills omeone then said something about the ookie cookie which is a game where you jack off on a cookie and the guy last to cum has to eat it and jordan is always last. gross and funny. then something about wanting to kidnap a rich kid and sell him for half a million bucks. haha! i thought it was funny. i have no idea what their songs were but i'll make some guesses. their musicianship is so much tigher now than when I saw them open for alk3 about 4 years ago, only bummer was that buddy's singing voice is pretty shitty. he can scream a ok, but his singing leaves a bit to be desired. hell, blame it on the monitors.

NFG. ahhhhh yes. my 9th nfg show in 7 years, nearly to the day when I saw them open for fenixTX back in october 2000. lovely set, insane energy, flawless execution..ya know, the shit you expect from an NFG show. if you've never seen NFG or you left this tour before they came on, please stop reading this and stick your head in the toilet for me adn flush. i would assist with the accompanying wedgie, but i'm busy typing, so have your mom or dad do that for you since you cleary are too young and stupid to live on your own.

set was as previously posted, althogh i don't recall hearing 'dressed to kill' but they played failures not flattering instead. i did 3 shots of tequila before the set so i may be wrong. in no order:

my only complaints are that it was only an hour set vs. their standard hour and a half, but i guess when senses fail gets a full hour and 2 other opening bands, the time gets cut a bit. oh well. still 3 hours of music for your buck. second complaint is closing with Kiss Me. opening with hit or miss=awesome. closing with brand new cover song when you have 5 full length albums=dumb. i think they should play some songs from the new covers album, but 4 was a bit of an overkill and closing with kiss me a bit of a slap in the face to the old skool fans such as myself. also, nothing off of nothing gold can stay, yet 4 covers is lame. but the strength of the performance, the energy, etc. made up for it. and the album songs they did play all obviously kill live. also, the 'coming home' material is soooooooo much better live, i've now heard oxygen, hold my hand, on my mind and its not your fault and all 4 of them sound like nFG live. tom panzanuzio or whoever produced "coming home" fucked up their trademark sound.

after the show talked to jordan and ian about some random crap, jordan is seperated from his wife of 2 years/girlfriend of 10 years I think so thats sad for him. he should listen to vegas! badump ching! ian is doing well and weighs 209 lbs if you're itnerested. i found that out when i mistakenly thought he lot weight. turns out i'm just fatter. he was super nice and considered smoking a J with me back at my hotel room but didn't want to go alone with me and my fiancee. jordan apparantly quit the weed a few years ago. took some nice pics with ian and he was super cool. i thanked him very much for playing "ballad".

until next time, enjoy the shows. this tour is certainly worth catching.

why has like nobody ever heard ballad for the lost romantics before?

i heard them play it when they were supporting Sticks and Stones co-headlining with Good Charlotte back in like 2004 at the San Jose State University Events Center.

yo yo, finally have a chance to talka bout the wonderful NFG/senses fail et al show in NEW ORLEANS saturday night.

SET YOUR GOALS: awesome set, they seem a little green still, pretty new to the live show/touring thing, but their hearts are in the right place and their sound was fantastic. for supposedly being wassted the night before, the drummer was a beast behind the kit, fantastic drumming, solid musicianship and good energy. just need to mature the show a bit. i think its pretty funny that the one singer is 6'4'' 215 and the other guy is 5'5'' 120 haha. just looks kinda goofy, but nice guys. i met the tall/deeper voice singer guy after the show. nice dude. set was:
dead men tell no tales
mutiny!
work in progress
we do it for the money obviously
this very moment (YESSSSS)
this song is definitely NOT about a girl
goonies never say die

maybe they didn't play "Dressed To Kill" (I was just reading off of the setlist I have). I can picture them playing it, but maybe I'm confusing it with another show, ha.

SYG has never come off to me like they're brand new or anything. their shows are always fun and full of energy. yeah, they're no NFG live, but they know what they're doing.

and as for Buddy...I found him gross and he appeared to be a complete tool, haha. but that's just me. guys also have a different sense of humor, but still. he may indeed be a tool :]

"dressed to kill" was on the setlist, i saw the sound guy's, but I seriously can't remember hearing it. again, 3 shots of tequila so...

SYG was fun as hell, I love Mutiny, they are musically solid, I just think vocally they need to work a little bit on projection and harmonization. the 'da da da's' at the end of Echoes sounded like crap live. not saying they're bad live at all, don't get me wrong, just saying there's more room for improvement in their live show than NFG's.

Buddy could likely be a tool, but he is a solid front man and has drastically improved as has the rest of the band over the last 4 years. The first time i saw them when they were still supporting their debut e.p. was a joke compared to their performance the othernight. they're not my new favorite band or anything, but they did exceed expectations.

My Friends Over You
Kiss Me

they were amazing, i got to sing on sincerly me and my friends over you

opening local band were alright

set your goals were amazing, some songs sounded better than on the cd and they had a great high energy set and the majority of the crowd knew the material. the singers worked well together and i met the shorter one getting pizza after the show.

treos were boring except for planning a prison break which they opened with, after that song they kinda lost the crowd and i think these guys should be opening rather than set your goals

senses fail were alright, i think they were better on taste of chaos although it was nice to hear bloody romance and 187

nfg were amazing as expected, somehow i got to second row dead center even though i just worked my way up after senses fail. the set list above is pretty accurate although im not sure if they are all in the right order i dont really remember. i was kind of upset to get no nothing gold songs but that could be due to technical dificulties which jordan called testical difficulties with one of the amps. he decided to talk to the crowd and play sincerly me though which made up for it. overall it was a great show and id rec. this show for set your goals and nfg alone. also make sure the venue is generous with giving out water or else you wont survive long in the front of the crowd

I was against the barricade and I barely even got hot, lol
the crowd was a lot worse during Senses Fail. mainly because of the group of douchebags in back of us trying to make their way to the front.

I hate barricades though. at the last NFG that I went to it was a random added tour date and they played a smaller venue. we wound up breaking the barricades. at one point the barricade started coming up from under me and I was sort of lying on the stage, hah. it was intense. they even stopped in the middle of a song to get the staff to completely just remove the barricades. and all of the guys were pretty much in my face for the whole show. that's more of an exciting experience, obviously. but Jordan still jumps into the crowds, so yeah. good enough for me

I saw this last night at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Senses Fail played way too long and sounded horrible. They played so long NFG cut their set short which was a big bummer. It baffled me how many lilttle scenesters and people left after SF. I was like wow, your loss. Senses Fail isnt even fun live anymore. Buddy kept talking about Nazis and how Walt Disney is one and how he is chornologecly frozed and he'll come back alive when jesus comes back which is never. The security at the show was rediculus, kicking out any one who moved.Within 30 seconds of NFG's first song Understatement, Chad stopped the song and called out the security and told them to stop throwing kids out. This is why I love NFG so much. They care about their fans a lot.

Anyways I'll post a setlist soon

Worcester, MA:

got there kinda late, didnt get to see bedlight or treos, and didnt give two shits about senses fail, so all i got was NFG. Halloween costumes consisted of Jordan as a viking/barbarian, and Chad as (dubbed by Jordan) "Captain Straightedge" (aka, no costume)

dont get me wrong, theyre good and all. but why pay upward of 25 dollars to just see them in a huge venue where a majority of the kids dont know who they are/dont like them? they still play tiny venues for way cheaper.

Sounds like they've been doing some pretty good shows on this tour. They're doing two shows in san diego at the end of their tour and I'm debating whether I should go to both or just one. I've never seen any of these bands (NFG SF & REOS) live before and I would only want to go twice if they changed up the set a bit. suggestions?

NFG was damn good tonight in Buffalo, NY! they played "On My Mind" as a request from BEDlight for blueEYES since it's the last day on the tour for them and NFG said that it was the first time they played that song on this current tour...

i tried giving Senses Fail another chance live (i already gave them like 8 chances live in the past because of them playing at shows i'm already attending for the other bands they're playing with) and they're still garbage thanks to Buddy's vocal skills... i like them on CD but Buddy needs to learn how to sing... Senses Fail was the headlining tonight and i ended up leaving mid-way through Senses Fail, i could only take so much of hearing Buddy's voice...
no clue why you kids like seeing this band live, stick to their CDs if anything :-D

in worcester they said they played ballad because of some pick your setlist website that chads buddy runs. They then said they were gonna play a nothing gold can stay song to make up for the fact all the worcester kids were missing out on halloween candy to be there. In a close vote, the hardcore kids who wanted 3rd and long were left to rock out to 2's and 3's. Great show

Awesome show tonight in Cincinnati. Dr Manhattan opened and no one was into them, they're horrible. They tried to do like an encore and got booed, it was funny. TREOS was next, and again no one was really into them. They opened with their two best songs, Planning a Prison Break and Smoke & Mirrors. Next was Senses Fail, it has been probably 3 years since I'd last seen them live and I forgot how horrible they are. I can't believe most of the crowd was into them.

NFG played a pretty standard set according to the setlists on here but to start off the "encore" (they said they were to tired to walk off the stage, so they didn't) they asked for requests from the crowd. Everyone was saying stuff off NGCS and they were like I guess we better practice up NGCS and self-titled stuff for our next tour...but then they were like along with Catalyst and Coming Home. They couldn't decide what to play, I think they were gonna play Sucker and then some kid was like Tell Tale Heart and Ian wanted to play that so they did. No one knew what was going on though it was so funny. NFG definitely put on a hell of a show, the openers not so much.

If Senses Fail headlines your date, feel free to leave after NFG. I promise you won't miss anything.

johnnyonthespot
11/04/07, 02:31 PM
Wish they would have played 3rd & Long instead of Tell Tale Heart. Anyway the rest of the setlist for Cincy included understatement, all down hill, failures not flattering, kiss me, intro, my friends over you, iris, hold my hand, forget my name something i call personality, head on collision, hit or miss, better off dead.

i think thats all.

Senses Fail were better than past times I have seen them.

Amazing show last night!!!

dr. manhattan- don't really have anything to say
treos-they were alright
nfg- great as always, the crowd was really into it. i got some big bruises from the baracade. jordan came down and sang in the crowd a few times. people were throwing shoes at the stage and jordan just threw them right back.
senses fail- horrible, buddy's vocals were way off.

after nfg we watched some of senses fail, then went outside and happened to see steve, ian, and cyrus walking down the street. we ended up going to taco bell with them and talking with them for a while. it was great!

Pretty awesome show last night in Lawrence.

Dr.Manhattan - the band had a blast on stage...the crowd...eh..some did...
TREOS: I wasn't uber excited to see them, but they put on a spot on performance.
Senses Fail - They put on a good show. Kids eat that shit up. Buddy can't sing to save his life. The dude from midtown looks so out of place in that band. I have a lot of respect for the other guitarists cause he got some douchebag thrown out of the venue for starting a fight (i think). This after a fight had happened halfway through the set.
NFG: Tore the place apart...picture perfect. They came back out after "my friends over you" and took one request and played "sucker"...yeap..we got an encore... =P

yes, the show last night in MO was really great.

I really really liked the venue (it was the first time I've been to a show since I moved here), but anyway, yeah that venue was nice, it was so intimate yet I was able to just chill out in the back, and still get a perfect view.

I like senses fail, so I enjoyed their set haha. - I thought buddy sounded okay, I mean, I thought he was screaming good, sometimes he can be kinda whiney. But yeah, they played 187 and bloody romance so that was refreshing.

NFG as always really took the show. Whenever I see them, it reminds me of how much I love them as a band

yeah, the location isn't that great (I was upset when they changed the venue from some place in kc), by the time it was over I got home at like 1am, which is pretty late for me. But it wasn't too bad of a drive though, maybe 45 mintues - it was worth it though.

Why does every one dislike Senses Fail? Whatever, to each his own I suppose. This is from the SF show as well.

[Not in the order played]From what I can remember NFG played:

My Friends Over You
Understatement
All Downhill From Here
Kiss Me
Iris (by Goo Goo Dolls, "dedicated" to Buddy for being sensitive)
Head On Collision
Hold My Hand
The King of Wishful Thinking

Senses Fail:

Shark Attack
Rum Is For Drinking
Battle Hymn
Sample [Possibly from new material? It just says Sample on the setlist]
Irony of Dying
Sick or Sane
Bonecrusher
Buried A Lie
Cute When You Scream
Çalling All Cars
Bloody Romance
Martini Kiss
Bite to Break Skin
Choke On This [As Buddy put it: "Fucking some one you wish you hadn't"]
The Priest and the Matador
187

Right before they played Kiss Me, I asked Chad for a set list cause he was right in front of me and he said something like, "Set list? Yeah, definitely." Jordan then said something along the lines of "We'll do anything for you guys. Do you guys want my shoes? How about my socks?" ...and then he threw his shoes & socks out into the crowd. So now I have Jordan Pundik's left shoe as well as the set list. He has huge feet.

Even if you hate Buddy's vocals, you gotta admit at least he actually has something to say unlike the millions of other bands. i hate not having friends who listen to the same music as me. they all think nfg is an annoying whiny band. i've tried to get people into them but it just doesn't work.

get new friends.

just go anyway, I don't really know anyone here who's into this kinda stuff, and I went by myself - its worth it even if you go alone.

I feel your pain. About 99% of my friends have never heard of any of the bands I listen to, and those in the 1% never want to go to concerts with me. Or they live too far away.

I'd go to the show with you if I had a car... and was still in socal haha. I'll be back soon though! We can go to shows together!
