Deloused is a great album, anything after that I never listen to.

Sparta are terrible though.

And neither album comes close to the greatness that is Acrobatic Tenement.

I enjoy Deloused, and i have the first two Sparta albums. i don't listen to them much. they are mediocre in my opinion.

Acrobatic Tenement is amazing. my personal favorite is In Casino Out.

Also great...Did you ever hear El Gran Orgo? It's like pop-punk, it's strange but great.

Yeah. it sounds like it would be something that would have come out before Acrobatic Tenement. it's good. i was listening to it yesterday.

I love In Casino Out. However, I do like Volta more overall than ATDI (seems like I'm one of the few who actually liked Amputechture/Frances the Mute a lot...)

Yeah it's weird. "Alfaro Vive, Carajo!" is really good too, came out before those two, and "Hell Paso" sounds like a punk album. All their albums are great though, one of the strongest discographies a band could have. They're the reason I got into music.

So you're the guy that bought those albums!

i haven't been able to find those two. i've listened to them though, and really like them. they do have one of the most solid discographies. every album is a classic.

these are all on this station is non operational. pretty easy to find, and, if they still sell the CD some where, then it's still in print, just saying.

Acrobatic Tenement is one of the best albums ever.

As to what came of the band, De-Loused is amazing and there are a few Sparta songs that are listenable.

okay, sparta definitely not as influential and even in the same league as mars volta...but it must be noted though at how fucking mind-blowing volta are. they are so progressive sonically.. its just unclassifiable at what level they operate on. you cannot honestly tell me that volta isn't more instrumentally profound than atdi. i mean you'd be lying. atdi is more influential than volta and are a fucking incredible band...dont get me wrong. its just that, the future is here..and its volta.

Comparing At the Drive-In to The Mars Volta is not unlike attempting to use hermeneutics to descipher mathematics.

You can't compare them because they are two radically different things that are both transcendent of their specific "genres" and peers.
