So I'm pretty psyched about the upcoming release of Say No More "What You Thought You Knew" - October 30th and Steel Train "Trampoline" - October 16th. As well as other drivethru bands tours coming up. Any body as excited as me...and if u haven't heard of drivethru or there bands check em out. www.myspace.com/drivethrulongisland

Only band on there I somewhat like is The Early November. An Angle is almost a complete rip-off of Bright Eyes.

Agreed on both accounts. The Early November has a genuine feel to them where most acts on the label seem "dime-a-dozen" to say the least.

yeah drive-thru was good years ago. finch, the movielife, the early november, the starting line...
aside from new found glory - from the screen to your stereo part 2, i don't remember the last time i bought a drive-thru cd.
I used to eat everything DTR put out. No longer true at all.
What is the best drive thru release?
There is only one answer, NFG - S/T

Wow Jay, you sure seem excited about these releases!
So much that you wrote out your post almost like an official press release would be written!

I pretty excited about both releases!!
Especially since Steel Train is coming to Nashcille becaus not many drive-thru bands come here.
Drive-Thru really has a lot of good bands right now too.

Well is it going to be good? lol. I think it is good and thats fact not fiction.
Seriously though, Drive-thru hasent gone down hill at all. Everything has to change in time.
Next year we have new releases coming from Socratic and Halifax and it will probally blow you all away.

correct!
this label really dropped the ball by letting The Mile After go... the only thing good about this label these days is Houston Calls

I actually think Drive Thru is making a comeback. I thought all their releases this year (Self Against City, Roark, House of Fools, An Angle, Hidden in Plain View, New Found Glory, Steel Train, Say No More, Biirdie) were actually really really good.
All of them (minus NFG) went under the radar; even though they shouldn't have.

dude hell yeah drive thru is still kicking some ass, i'd sign to them in a heartbeat, they're one of the last large pop-punk indie labels worth signing to.

It’s almost comical how a popular label could take such a drastic dive in such a short time.

I keep hoping and praying that Drive Thru will make their triumphant comeback like they once had in 2002. As of right now you can barely find their cds in stores and everything is going under the radar (as said earlier) Steel Train is definitely album of the year. That album is sooo good. I think drive thru will make their comeback shortly though. I believe they are waiting for their sanctuary deal to run dry so they can finally sell their label to a major and start to sign the bands they wanna sign. There is a podcast interview with Richard over on www.alternativepress.com, its a really good listen, he explains alot of music business sides of things and calls out fueled by ramen for hiring writers for all of their bands.

I still love this label so much. :) and the Hidden In Plain view release was amazing.
I acually liked all of the releases from this year pretty much. but HIPV might take the cake for me.
But Say No More is kick ass too.
I hope Finch gets back together for good, and stays with D.T.R as long as they swap back to there original sound.
I feel like Drive Thru is going under. They lost two of their bigger bands... The Early November, and Hidden In Plain View. They've got a few good bands on there, don't get me wrong... but they're just not what they used to be. The only big time money maker on there is New Found Glory.
