I don't want to think I came up with this idea or anything like that, but has anyone ever heard/seen double tapping used in a song? And no, not where each guitarist is playing a different tap pattern, but where one guitarist is playing 2 different lines on 2 different strings. I just figured out the lead line to a song by this band i might be joining, and i figured it'd be cool to try playing the 8th degree (octave) of each note on the 3rd string. If you know any songs that have this, please let me know. I'd be interested to hear.

The guitarist Justing King has some acoustic stuff like that. It's not really "tapping" like you're talking about, but sortof. Look him up on video google.

The dude from Estrela (now defunct but their myspace is up) does/did that alotalotalot, actually stuff a little more complex. Check out their myspace, and if you want I think his name is Josh, should be a top friend, he has a couple of videos up last I checked.

i haven't heard it from him yet. i wouldn't put it past Eddie to do it though
It isn't heavily used in mainstream music, but Fusion guitarists do a lot of double tapping lines.
